Looks beautiful. The directions were fairly simple. It will need to be sealed quickly. The stain that comes on it is very lightly applied and has mildew on it after only 2 weeks. My only real negative is the screws that come with it are horribly cheap. We had a bunch that were bent or had only 1/2 of the thread on them.

Please note I painted mine with water proof exterior paint. The price is good compared to 3K equivalent at Lowes. It looks good. It is well designed. Somewhat value for the money. The post base plates that come with the product are absolutely cheap junk. Post shakes like jelly with those. No way this would resist a minor wind storm with those. I send a message to the seller and got no repones. I had to get some real strong post bases. The other problem is that this posts are 5x5 which is not standard in the US. Getting the bases was very difficult. The roof can leak on the joins in heavy rains so I had to caulk part of it. I doubt this roof will last long. I may eventually replace for a full sheet. I didn't trust that joined boards with a snowfall (although we get very little snow here in the north West) still I reinforced it a extra 4x4 posts in the middle. I added gutters and water side rails since I am sure the wood will eventually rot otherwise. It is difficult to review but overall, I gave it 2 starts mainly because of the junk post bases that made spend another $150 on proper bases. The seller didn't respond my inquiry.

This really looks great now that we have it completed. But, boy did we have trouble putting it together. We had to pay someone to help us finish it. Instructions were not clear. The video didn’t make it easier. The holes for screws were not aligned. Some screws were missing. The aluminum roof sheets are too thin. Now that it is up and anchored to the driveway cement, it still needs more anchoring. Our hired handyman will have to do that now too. We should’ve sent it back.

We purchased 2 of these carports (as well as the complimentary pergola). Each carport ships in 7 boxes, so we received 13, plus 1 straggler a few days later. We broke down one kit and began the assembly process. Once we were on our way, we broke down the 2nd carport and discovered that the "straggler box" was missing all of the hardware. I reported it to the Beneouya, and they rushed me an entire Box B, complete with wood and hardware. Great responsiveness! PROS: ☆ Extraordinary and unique design... lots of compliments from our neighbors ☆ Exceptional engineering and manufacturing ☆ Fairly robust packaging CONS: ▪︎ Fasteners. Bolts are fine, screws are inadequate. I chose to not use the 2 sizes of "drywall type" screws; I instead ordered through Amazon 4 different sizes of black construction lag bolts, and 2 sizes of black flathead screws. Timbers, beams and joists require substantial fasteners. ▪︎ You cannot use the assembly instructions to locate the post bases ahead of time. No schematic is provided that tells you exactly how to to locate the bases for drilling the concrete. You have to have the carport 80% assembled; that's about 600# of mass to try to move into its final position. The decorative base covers get in the way of boring straight holes. The covers should be made 2 piece. ▪︎ The sheet metal is on the thin side, and it does not cover the entire width. About ⅜" of wood remains exposed on each side. Black perimeter flashing would a welcome addition to the kit. ▪︎ I am accustomed to hex drive, metal washer backed gasket fasteners for corrugated sheet installation. What you get in the kit is a Phillips drive screw with a gasket. Some of the gaskets deformed a bit when seated. ▪︎ LARGE VEHICLE NOTICE. My Ridgeline and her Sorento fit nicely, but we do have to favor one side when backing in. The arched posts are located right where the vehicle doors are. Overall, we really like the way everything turned out. I was going to "stick build" one massive carport, but I stopped when posts and LVL beams alone reached $3000. In the 2 carports and modified pergola... additional fasteners and my own black gutters, we probably spent $5000. I'm guessing that we would have spent 2X or 3X going the custom route. Carport #1 > 3 men, could have used 2 more Carport #2 > Built myself with the aid of 2x4x16 braces and various clamps NOTE: Both carports, and the modified pergola, were joined together, creating one continuous roof [PHOTOS ATTACHED]

High marks for design concepts and marketing pics! Very possible solution for my mid-sized SUV to winter over while I move my garage workshop! However, my City permitting process requires minimum information such as sizing of dimensioned wood, spacing measurements of posts, rafters, and a detail of roofing material at fitments. Anchoring details including depth in ground, a nchor bolts and post attachments are required. Also, an engineering statement regarding designed wind loads are required. A detail of beam fasteners used should be available for a quick review. Please advise of availability of common drawings so I can submit for a permit to build! Thanks!

Roof is too thin to hold a 22” snow load. May be useful for sun protection but not durable enough for northern climates. Does not have enough pitch for snow removal and anchors too small and short to prevent wind damage/removal. Posts are short and small thus carport short.
