Make sure you have the correct amount of room to put this. The product itself works good. This is not a quiet fireplace. Seems not like a blow torch but it does put out very good heat. I had to change some adapters to make my gas line fit. Remote works great so far. Instructions are extremely basic and vague but this fireplace works great!

Beware! Even though the wires are wrapped in what appears to be heat resistant sleeves, they don’t work. We had our unit installed by a professional and in only a week, the unit started acting up (not starting when prompted by the remote, then not starting by hand-switch, then nothing). We took out all the logs and found the wires had been charred; in addition the ignition knob AND the control knob (on the other side of the unit) were both melted. I guess you get what you pay for. What a shame.

When I received these logs I had a professional hook up the logs so I could see the product working. We could not get the remote to work with these logs. I did not like the appearance with them burning so I asked to return but company informed me I could not return. The quality was very poor

The build quality of this is not good. When I received this, all of the screws holding it together were the too small for the holes they were in. All were loose, and some had fallen out and were sitting in the bottom of the box. That should have been my first red flag, but I went ahead and replaced them all with some that I happened to have in my garage and continued with the installation. As soon as I opened the gas valve, I smelled propane. I thought maybe it was because it was new and the lines were purging, so took the chance and lit it. Everything including the remote worked as it should, so I let it burn for a few minutes to get the gas in the gas lines then shut it off. The smell of propane continued to fill the house, so I disconnected everything and took it out. I went through it and tightened all of the gas lines (some were 1/4 turn loose) and reinstalled it. No more gas smell, but now it burns unevenly and some of the holes have no flame. I think they may not be drilled correctly, so I plan on routing them out with a dremel.
