This tent is pretty damn cool! Set up was cake especially if you have done a bell tent before. I was surprised at the size when I pulled the bag out of the box and I really didn't think it would have turned out the way it did. Set up took about 20 min by myself without a curse word used lol! It is big! Seriously when it says 10 people could sleep inside they are not joking. Super spacious inside and cant wait to take it next week for a test run in the hills. If I had anything negative to say about this tent it woul be. First I will definitely buy better and extra stakes for it. They aren't horrible but I like a heavier stake for my tents. My biggest hang up would be that im a canvas guy to the bone and I love my wood burning stove as well. This has no jack and the material I personally would not trust when I am on the mountain hunting in September through November. I will absolutely try it but I dont have the confidence in this one as I do in my canvas tents. But for the price difference you will not regret this one. Hands down my new summer family tent. It will be used and abused without breaking the bank I promise you that. Great product and I will be back with another review after its test run next week. ... show more

I opened this tent to inspect it. It appears that all the pieces required to set it up are included. It's just so huge, I'll need to wait for my son to give me a hand with it because it's a bit much for one person. The two main support poles are pre-assembled on a bungee type cord and they're easy to fit together. They're made of steel and do feel sturdy and secure once attached to each other. I counted out 25 stakes and the guy lines appear to be attached to the tent itself. Those are essential for stabilizing our tent against wind and elements. The upper tent material feels really lightweight. It's listed as 68D (denier) polyester taffeta that's an excellent, widely used material for tents. It offers a great balance of durability, weather resistance, and affordability. It's also UV resistant and handles the sun better than nylon. The floor is Polyethylene (PE) which is an excellent, cost-effective material for tent floors and groundsheets because it is completely waterproof, highly durable, and easy to clean. This tent also has mesh inserts for better ventilation and breathability. The door zippers are gliding properly to open and close. Other reviewers are skeptical that it will fit 10 people which is ok because we don't even plan to have over half that number using it. It does look like it will fit a number of sleeping bags comfortably. The price seems to fall within the mid-range for a large tent like this so it feels like a good value for the money. ... show more

First, this tent is huge. Most tents that say 10 people really only fit 8 or 9 without feeling like sardines. This one actually fits 10 people. Or like 8 + their gear. Setup is easy but it does require 2 people and around 15 minutes. Once up, the support poles are very stable--i had kids pulling around on them and they did not budge. There is a storage pocket for each person, which is really nice. They are grouped in 2s and 3s, so depending on how you arrange people, the pockets are definitely more handy for some campers than others. As far as other storage, a vestibule would be a really nice addition to this tent to keep boots and gear dry, while keeping your sleeping space cleaner. For most people there is plenty of space inside for gear though! There aren't a lot of windows but I feel like for size and location, they let in a surprising amount of air. So ventilation is decent, but it can still get quite warm in the middle of the day, and I do think more windows would be beneficial. Also, one of our zippers snagged the window mesh on the very first use. Not real thrilled with that but it is still usable and the other ones and the door zippers work great. It started raining on us as we set up the tent. It rained multiple times that day, and in the night, and multiple times the next day. Some of it was pretty nasty thundershowers with very heavy rain. I thought for sure we'd at least have moisture collect at the edges or wick a bit through the sides, but the tent definitely exceeded my expectations and everything stayed nice and dry! With the height, I am not sure how I would feel about using it in truly gusty conditions, but it did fantastic in regular breeze and wind from the storm. I do think this size and shape is excellent for large families, it for friends and groups who are camping together but may need to spend a fair amount of time under the shelter. It is so spacious and nice to be able to play games it whatever. It's also nice to just change without having to squat or to care for kids without the stooping that many tents require. For it's size, I feel like it packs down very well. The price ($180) seems fair for the size and performance--excluding the window issue which I'm hoping was a fluke. Overall we're very pleased with the tent and looking forward to more family adventures! ... show more

This is a very nice tent and it is large, but not so sure it's 10 people large. You will definitely need at least two people to set this up. It is 16 x 16 x 9.8‘ and can comfortably accommodate 5-6 people. In a pinch it can hold 8 skinny adults or 10 children. It has a 79 inch door, four top vents for air circulation, three mesh windows so you can look out and see what’s going on, pockets inside to store your stuff. The tent is water resistant to a light rain, not a hard rain. You will get the tent, 25 stakes, 14 guy lines, two steel poles and a carry bag.
