They just work...removed the default 4GB ram and installed this 32GB kit in my Synology DS1821+. Took less than 5 minutes and DSM 7 identified the 32G ram right away. I'm now performing a memory test from the Synology Assistant program that'll take a couple hours. I do not anticipate any problems based on past reviews and answered questions. EDIT: I performed three memory tests on this ram per Synology's recommendation. Each test took about 6.0 - 6.5 hours and all tests passed flawlessly. In all three tests, it seemed that at the 75% mark, the test slowed down significantly, and it seemed as though the NAS was frozen ... for a really long while. Be patient, it's not frozen. It just takes its time to do its tests. Just set it up and go do something for 6 hours and all will be good afterwards.

Works perfectly in my Synology NAS. Upgraded the stock RAM and didn’t get any error codes or compatibility issues with the synology set up. Much improved performance and very easy and quick install. All in the upgrade takes maybe 5-7 including shutting down and rebooting the NAS.

Compared to the Crucial or Synology variants, this stick was much more wallet-friendly. Received today, put in the unit in the spare memory slot (along side my default Synology 4GB stick) and fired right up with no issues at all. Confirmed 20GB showing in the info center and can confirm partitioning VMs to validate memory is usable. So far, no issues at all. if changes, i'll update.

I was skeptical, but I swapped it out, and it is working no problem. I have a second stick on the way, and will update if there are any problems. This is a very easy upgrade. I have Nemix on some of my work AMD builds that can utilize ECC, and they are very stable, I hope the same holds true for the Synology ram.
