This is a good thing to have around to entertain a guest's kids or to kill time while sitting around and you don't have your phone but without having some actual retro games like we had in the 80's and 90's to kick you in the nostalgias, it's just okay. Battery life and screen are adequate but really, you'll probably have better more fun just playing a game on your phone assuming you have one.

My son is a video gamer so I thought this would be a cute thing for him to have to play with. But actually once we got it I think I liked it more than him. It’s handheld and small so it doesn’t take up much space. Looks cute as decor in the mean and between time of uses. It does take batteries though. The amount of games is endless, so you won’t be bored if you enjoy playing videos games. The screen is a bit nostalgic feeling so it’s not like a 5k screen quality but it’s still fine and you’re able to see perfectly fine what you need even with gritty graphics. It makes a cute gift for probably just about anyone.

This retro game console is a fun little throwback. The design has that classic gaming feel, which makes it enjoyable for kids and a bit nostalgic for adults too. The first thing I noticed was the size. It is quite a bit smaller than I expected, but that actually works well for younger players since it fits comfortably in small hands. My grandson picked it up right away and has been having a great time playing through the different games. The only drawback is the sound. His mom mentioned she wishes it had a volume control because the audio can be a bit loud depending on what he is playing. Being able to adjust it would make it even better. Overall, it turned out to be a fun little handheld system that keeps him entertained. The current price is $29.99 USD. Considering the number of built-in games and how much enjoyment my grandson gets from it, it feels like a fair value.

I picked up this handheld as a stocking stuffer for my husband because he’s always eyeing the full-sized arcade games you see in club stores, and I figured this would be a fun little nod to that. It turned out to be a hit. Right out of the box the console feels lightweight and portable, and the 2.5″ color screen is surprisingly clear for the price. It comes with 220 preloaded HD classic games, and there’s a good mix of simple puzzles, racing, and arcade-style titles so he could easily find something that clicked with him. The 8-way joystick and buttons are easy to use, which makes it more fun to play than some other tiny handhelds we’ve tried. This isn’t a powerhouse machine, and if you’re expecting modern graphics or game-saving features you won’t find them here. It feels a bit like a budget toy, so don’t expect the same build quality you’d get from higher-end retro consoles. This is absolutely adorable. I will give it that. It's a little on the small size to be super functional though. I bought this for my husband because he loves retro games. It advertises 220 games are included. He found 10, 8 of which were sports, and none of which he recognized. It was greatly disappointing. The sound quality is fine, it's definitely loud and has that retro game sound.
