Nice lightweight handheld with 100 games. In terms of quality, the D-pad has a nice feel to it, the other buttons have the usual plastic characteristics to them but they respond well. Have had no issues playing any of the games so far. One of the more unique game lists I’ve seen in this category. Volume settings are all pretty loud but there is a mute setting. If you collect these lower tier handhelds it’s worth a pickup for its unique game list I would say. These games are all from the early 90’s so they may be a bit difficult to play for most younger gamers. Good value for the money though if you’re into or from that era of gaming. Tons of games but most of them are junk or in Chinese. Mario and Streetfighter were about the only games my son plays. Unfortunately the power button snapped off into the body of the game console a few weeks after purchase.

This is actually really cool because it’s genesis-on-chip based so it’s a janky but real hardware based genesis handheld like all those nes-on-chip 500-1 handhelds. It has 100 games and you’ll be really happy with the selection you find here. I placed a piece of electrical tape over 99% of the speaker opening and I now have 3 actually reasonable sound levels and I highly recommend this “mod” if you plan to play in public. This handheld console seemed like a great find at first glance. It has a bright screen, a wide variety of games, and a compact build that looks ideal for kids or adults chasing some retro nostalgia. The game selection includes well-known titles like Tetris and Pac-Man, plus a large number of lesser-known games. Some are fine, but most feel like filler content that was added just to pad the numbers. Where things fall apart is in actual gameplay. The directional pad is stiff and not responsive enough. There’s noticeable lag or outright failure to register movement, which becomes a real problem in fast-paced games. I’ve lost count of how many times I watched Pac-Man barrel straight into enemy doom after trying to make a turn that never registered. I figured the controls might loosen up over time, but they haven’t. If anything, the experience has gotten worse with extended use. Sound is another issue. The speaker is loud, shrill, and unpleasant. I’ve kept it at the lowest possible volume or just used headphones, but even then the sound quality is poor. The real frustration is that the volume button doesn’t work as expected. It is clearly labeled, but pressing it alone doesn’t raise or lower the volume. It seems to require a combination press with another button, though which one remains a mystery. I shouldn’t need to stop and dig through the instruction booklet just to figure out something that basic. Functionally, the device works. It powers on and loads games. The screen is fine for what it is. The ten buttons are all labeled, but that doesn’t make the layout any more intuitive. The overall experience feels clunky, and the controls get in the way of what should be simple fun. For $19, this may look like a good deal, but it’s not worth the time or frustration. The poor controls, bad audio, and confusing interface cancel out any potential enjoyment. I would not recommend this as a gift, especially for kids. Very good stocking stuffer for the kids. Lots of games and very easy to use. The charge time isn't super long (3-4 hrs maybe). The volume setting is loud even on the lowest sound setting.
