Nice "toy" firepit when first used. Probably dangerous around children - Too easily tipped with a bump. The mesh seemed ideal but holes quickly developed under small fires. No large logs, no magnesium, no lighter fluid. 8 to 10-inch long, 3-4 inch wide pieces of wood stacked no more than 6-8 inches high. So sad. This would be nice but the melting mesh is a deal killer. I fear this happens far more often than it is reported. ... show more

Are used it for the first time this past weekend. The weather outside was perfect in the evening, it was dry and cool. Needed to take care of the heat from the fire itself. Punctured holes in the mesh. Hot ashes, then fell onto the bricks underneath. Not very durable!
