It came packaged very well with intentional care. The chessboard is beautiful and looks just as depicted. All of the pieces are a good weight. The quality is very nice although the golden part of the pieces at the bottom were a lot of scratches the over all look was still pleasing. Be advised they are rubber pieces only the board is made of wood. I'm pleased with the product because it suits the need I got it for I definitely recommend it if your looking for a good size chessboard game as a gift or just as a collectable. ... show more

For the price, I honestly thought this would be nicer than it is. Cheap wood slapped together and the pieces are rubber not marble or metal or even wood like I had thought. I'm usually not surprised by cheap junk from Amazon but this was disappointing.
