Overall, the heat press does what it says it will. It uses heat to put your designs on shirts, hats, and tumblers. It does it more efficiently than the Cricut product I was using, and it's much better than using an iron. Putting it together out of the box was pretty simple. One thing that really bothers me is how the control box just dangles on the post. It literally flops around if you think about touching it. I would definitely prefer something more steady. The instructions are OK, but could be better. I bought an extra shirt to use for practice runs before I did one for real. This way I was able to figure out exactly how to use the the press and not mess up a good shirt. (I had to remove both pads from between the plates before it would work. There was nothing indicating if the pads were just for shipping or if they were necessary.)

This is a new skill for me and I have only had this machine for a short time. I have only used the press for fabric designs so far. It also does mugs, tumblers and plates but I haven't gotten that far in my heat press skills yet. It has taken me a bit to catch onto how to use this which is pretty normal for me as I am not a quick learner with any kind of machine. It does t-shirt transfers and vinyl cut transfers well though. It heats up to the set temperature you just have to let it preheat. It is easy to lock down and has a large pressing area which is what I was looking for. I love the 360 swing away for my safety so I don't burn myself since I am a bit awkward, it has kept me from getting burned and made it much easier to use. The heat must be good and even because the projects come out well adhered and with good color. I have made t-shirts, pillow covers and canvas bags of all sizes so far and haven't had any problems.

The media could not be loaded. There's a lot to like here, but this is not a top quality heat press. It'll get the job done though. For how long, only time will tell. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this heat press. The hat, plate, mug and water bottle presses offer a lot of bang for your buck here. I would prefer a sturdier handle on the top sides of the press like you see on most of the other heat presses. The screen mount for the heat press is super loose as well. You will have to find some cardboard to stick in there to make it sturdier and not feel so loose. This is a good, "get your hands wet" heat press. I'm huge on aesthetics and this just looks funky in this blue color. I'm sure this will be my secondary machine after I get the hang of this.
