I received this emergency vehicle siren/PA system and it delivers very strong, clear output with multiple tone options. The included slim speaker is impressively loud for the size, with siren modes like Yelp, Wail, and Hi‑Lo that cut through traffic or background noise easily when properly installed. One thing every boat should have (in my opinion) is a decent siren system. Not only can it get you noticed in a real emergency, but it makes conversations with other vessels possible from longer distances away. Occasionally the siren can be fun as a prank as well. So far we've had good luck with this siren in my Warrior boat. This radio can run on any 12v power source, as long as it can provide a few amps of power. It's rated IP66 so as long as the head unit isn't dropped in the water for five minutes it should be fine. It's also small enough to be mounted pretty much anywhere. The siren itself is LOUD. As in so loud that I don't recommend turning it up all the way when you use it the first time. Also, you may want to experiment with different siren locations, as you don't want it going direct to where you will be sitting. We ended up moving ours to the front of the boat. If you do mount this in a boat, or in any location make sure there is at least six feet of distance betwen the horn and where you will be talking into the microphone - otherwise the feedback comes through and you won't be able to be understood over the PA function. My only minor complain is that the actual microphone feels really cheap, you really have to press hard to get the clicker to work, and more importantly even when talking into the mic from any distance I'm really difficult to understand. So if you are having sound issues with talking into the unit, try using a different mic. All in all, I'd say 4/5.

I was a bit disappointed when this siren arrived. ALl the exterior packaging was fine, but the siren unit / base station arrived with the volume knob broken off. The selector switch is also far from straight and mounted at and odd angle illustrating the lack of attention to detail or quality control. It does work and I was able to replace the broken plastic knob on the potentiometer- but I cant really recommend this particular unit to anyone in the market for a PA / siren.

This is a great choice if you have been wanting to add PA capabilities to not only your vehicle, but anything that uses a 12v battery. Purchased this as a replacement for a much more basic microphone and tone device that we had on our old boat. Liked having it enough to look for one to install on our new boat. This is not used in a professional capacity at all, mostly we just “honk” and use it to communicate over distance with other boaters. This item is a huge improvement over what we had previously. Although the mounting of the control box does add another layer of planning, the wiring, sound quality, volume, and feature availability really set this item apart. The connection to the 12v power is clear, and any other wires included in the harness are clearly described in the directions. The ability to connect two other auxiliary devices is something I never considered but allows for future expansion without worrying about running another set of power wires. You can also broadcast sound from your existing speaker wires over this system with a simple splice. And this thing is loud! Impressed with the quality of the unit and the features.
