This was listed as acceptable for use in a inflatable pool or Spa. My inflatable spa's heater stopped working and I was looking for a quick work around. I used it for one week in my spa. Initially it seemed t be working well, however after a few days it started tripping the breaker on the outlet it was plugged into. Then after about 5 days it began to rust and drop rust particles all across the bottom of the spa, clogging the filters. Upon pulliing it out of the water I could see that the internal heating element was completely rusted. I wish I took a picture before I threw it out. I didn't think about it as I had never felt inspired to leave a negative review. Not bothering to try to get a refund, just hope to save someone else the headache. ***Update*** Seller reached out as soon as the review was posted to refund the item. This product is Made in China. I tried this heater on my very small in ground pool (6500 gal). It didn’t budge the temperature - verified by thermometer. I was expecting too much from this little device, as I could see heat emanating from it, but my pool was probably too big for it. After using the heater two days in a row, the water was still cold and I noticed blackening on the receptacle prongs. (I read the directions and used the product as instructed.) **UPDATE: the seller noticed this review and contacted me offering a full refund to make the situation right. I am so grateful for this EXCELLENT customer support. Given the reasonable price, I would recommend this product for very small water heating applications. Never leave it unattended. ... show more

This heats up very hot. A 5 gallon buck was hot in 15 minutes. I mean over 100 degrees. This works. Can do a full tub in 1 hour.

I bought a bucket from home depot and use this heater with regular 6 amp plug. It worked like a charm and within 15 minutes you can get hot enough water.
