This 71 piece art supplies set comes with a nice variety of materials. These include: 12 graphite pencils ranging from 8B up to 5H, 12 watercolor pencils, 12 colored pencils, 12 metallic colored pencils, 12 charcoal pencils which include 4 hard, 4 medium and 4 soft, an eraser, pencil sharpener, sandpaper block, pencil extender, art knife, marker, small brush, and 3 blending stumps. I have to say these are the nicest blending stumps I have ever used. Never before have I owned a pencil extender or a sandpaper block so those were a welcome surprise. Overall, the quality of the materials is quite nice. The case too is solidly built with a easy slide zipper which makes for convenient storage. The sketchpad was actually nicer than I was expecting. The paper is decently thick so you can blend the watercolor pencils without fear of the water bleeding to the next page, although I wouldn't saturate any given spot too heavily. This art set has such a complete range of colored pencils, with basic, solid colors, pastels, and metallic ones. There are also graphite and charcoal pencils in several hardnesses, for black and white sketching. Within the zippered case, there is a traditional sharpener, a sandpaper sharpener, blending tools, and an eraser. The colored pencils are not the softest I've used, but still good quality, and with the level of variety, would be great for an amateur or aspiring artist. This is a great beginner set for anyone just getting started drawing or sketching. It comes with everything you need in a nice zippered case. While the pencils and colored pencils are not the best quality you could get they are decent. There isn't a wide variety of colors in the colored pencils but you do get a sampling of different types of colored pencils; watercolor, metallic, and basic. The charcoal pencils are average. The sharpener is metal and seems pretty heavy duty. Its a nice set and comes everything you need to try it out and get started.
