  • Nice and heavy duty.
Size: 50A
It's hard to judge from a picture, but after receiving it I can say it appears to be very good quality. We used this to limit the current on a small power inverter so our car does not go up in flames like so many of those electric vehicles you might see on youtube. We used 6 gauge wire with Selterm 6AWG-1/4" tinned marine grade copper eyelets which fit well on the large posts this breaker has. The breaker trips and resets easily and was easy to mount to the firewall with a couple of blind rivet nuts. We paired these with the Hamolar 12v 120A continuous duty relay so we can turn the power inverter on and off with the flip of a switch on the dash. ... show more

  • Trips at 120A
Size: 200A
This CB seemed like a well designed, well built CB. I installed it in my travel trailer along with a new battery and inverter. This 200A CB was installed on the positive 1/0 wire between the battery and the inverter. Upon load testing, everything worked at 30, 60, and 90 amps. At 120 amps of load the breaker tripped in 2 minutes 20 seconds. Then it reset itself after about 22 seconds, and this repeated. It also tripped when tested at 135A in about 45 seconds and at 180A in about 12 seconds. Confusingly, there was no indication on the CB that it tripped. The trip lever didn't move and it did not need a manual reset, which I would expect from a circuit breaker. So, totally lacking in the description of this device (or any of the look-alike clones with different brand names on Amazon) is that this is an auto-resetting circuit breaker that acts like a simple bi-metallic strip that is essentially a thermostat that resets itself when it cools down. The push button and lever's only functionality is as a manual switch to disconnect the power (which is a nice feature, but it has nothing to do with overcurrent protection.) So, the description should be a lot clearer on this. I would have kept the CB except for the gross miscalibration of tripping at 50-60% of the rated current. The tripping performance of this 200A CB is what I would expect of a 100 A CB. I would consider it weak and slightly out of tolerance for a 120A CB. It is far too low of a trip point for a 150A CB, much less a 200A CB. I am returning this one and trying a 250A CB. Perhaps I can get 150A out of that one. Despite the cosmetics being good, the most important function of a CB is to interrupt the current at a predictable value near (preferably slightly above) the device's rating. This CB fails this criteria. I spent a lot of money on a lithium battery with a BMS and a 2000 watt inverter and this CB only allows me to use about half of that before it trips...hence the one-star rating. Update: I got and tested the 250A version of this, same manufacturer. At 120 amps of load it tripped in 45 seconds...faster than the 200A breaker. This isn't even 50% of the breaker rating...it is definitely no more than a 100A breaker labeled as 250A. So, this brand is zero out of two samples. There is apparently no testing or QC on these at the factory. They may be OK as a manual disconnecting switch, but they don't actually trip anywhere near their rating. I will try a different brand from a major manufacturer (and pay a little more) and see if I can get one that actually trips near where it should. ... show more

  • Great little breaker doubles as cut off switch
Size: 30A
I used on van build Solar System… I love these style switches/breakers .. used another size one on fridge freezer setup .. allows for clean install of circuit protection and when in storage it’s easy to flip the breaker and turn off all circuits… great for 12v custom build load situations

  • Excellent product
Size: 40A
The craftsmanship is 2nd to none, I put one on my bass boat with a 24 volt trolling and it was very reliable so I put one on my pontoon for a 24 volt system.....

  • I guess it's waterproof?
Size: 60A
This has been installed under my truck in California for 1.5 years. Done a few water crossing and some muddy spots but gets cleaned afterwards. The fuse button depresses but it will not pop the breaker so right now it's stuck on. Not sure if it would pop if overloaded. Think I'm going to go to a blade style fuse instead. I'm not sure if I trust this setup ... show more
