I did return it though, because it was not a good fit for my hammock and was just too large to store. I love this product. It’s perfect for our yard, but it’s big. I haven't been able to assemble right away because the box arrived without any hardware. Both ends of the box were damaged with large holes and poles sticking out one end. I was very disappointed because its too big to return and the box isn't functional. The box arrived on A Friday, by the end of the weekend I was personally contacted by Petra. They called multiple times and via email to make things right and send the new hardware. I was impressed with the level of professionalism and urgency the company took in making sure I had everything I needed. The item arrived fairly quickly and box was undamaged, all part were their, nothing missing. The instructions were lacking but The assembly was straight forward, I was able to put it together by myself in about 15 minutes. The metal is sturdy but the paint scratches easily . Be aware that even though description states that it’s 15’ long, it’s actually 14’ from hook to hook. It actually worked out better for my 12’ hammock. Overall it’s a nice piece and lot cheaper than the wooden ones and without the shortfalls like the wood splitting or warping ... show more

It could be that they did not include chains that were long enough, but this hammock is not stable at all. The base is sturdy, but it will throw you off in an instant. I already hit my back hard on the thick metal of the base. I noticed that many of the photos show different size chains.

Just set it up yesterday, and first impression is great. It was easy to put together, and came with all the parts needed (including chains and caribiners) Once assembled it is very easy for 2 people to move. It's a nice looking stand and my 13 foot hammock fits perfectly. My one complaint is that the "legs" don't sit flat on the ground. (see pictures) The bars are attached at an angle, so the stand is actually sitting up on 4 little corners and not the flat edges of the legs. Surely they could have made it so the legs would sit flat? When pulling my hammock to hook up the 2nd side, the whole stand slid and some of the rubber rubbed off of the 4 corners it stands on. Hopefully it doesn't wear down completely and the metal doesn't poke through and scrape my patio. ... show more

This product seems to be very sturdy. The paint finish on it was good. It was pretty easy to put together with two people -- would probably be a chore with just one. It was missing one nut when it arrived, but that was because it was delivered to the wrong address and the people there mistakenly opened the box and misplaced the supplied fasteners. Anyway, a quick trip to the hardware store solved the problem. This item looks like it will last many years without issue. ... show more
