    • An Elegant Paperweight
This is a review of the Nimo 15.6 FHD IPS Student Laptop Computer, 16GB RAM 1TB SSD, 4-Cores Pentium N100, Backlit Keyboard, Fingerprint, 2 Years Warranty, WiFi 6, Windows 11 Home. I really wanted to like this laptop, BUT it’s a great disappointment. This beautiful looking laptop comes with a tiny publication (printed on one piece of paper) that’s almost utterly useless. Nimo calls it the “Manual”. It provides no guidance, and doesn’t mention critical info like the laptop’s MAC address, or the Windows 11 access code. Well, you say to yourself, these tidbits of info (along with a great deal more) will be available immediately after the laptop has first booted up. The catch is that it doesn’t boot! I’ve wasted many hours attempting to get it this elegant paperweight working… but it just freezes. Amazon refused to publish the first edition of this review because “it doesn't meet our guidelines”. In that review, I’d spent many words on the fact that Nimo’s laptops are not actually made in the USA. I’d quoted sources and included web addresses. I’m guessing that’s what stopped publication of that first edition of this review. So, please do your own research, look at the negative reviews, and judge the probity of this company based upon what you find. ... show more
