The spring closer works great! The only improvement would be to include a thicker tool to turn the adjustment mechanism. I had to find a star screwdriver that was the right size for the holes to help turn the adjustment part and get the spring tight enough to close completely on its own. The original tool is a tiny 2” thin piece that barely held in the holes as you torqued the spring to place in the stop pins in place. Other than that, it’s a winner!

This gate spring works as advertised, and the provided installation instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. However, the included adjust rod was too short and too narrow and started bending as I adjusted the tension just a few times. A small screwdriver worked great for properly adjusting the tension.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Very pleased with this spring closure. Well made, clear instructions and easy install. Installed on a wooden fence to safeguard against the lawn service not fully closing the fence and latching allowing our dog to escape. Problem solved.

The media could not be loaded. I was a little worried that not having the gate even with the post and having to angle it more than the instructions said may affect the functionality, but it works quite well. I adjusted the tension pretty tight using a screw driver instead of the provided little bar. It works great even through our gate is fairly large.

the spring itself is very nice, very sturdy and good quality finish. solid metal. however it did not come with any hardware (screws, etc) so I had to use my own. I would like to recommend however they need to work on packaging because im guessing the screws fell out somewhere during transportation.
