This review is out of the box. It has not been taken out on the water as of yet. So it's operation is still yet to be seen. But, when I went to adjust the centrifugal brakes on the inside of the reel the dial was incredibly difficult to turn. I had to take the spool out just to get the dial to turn to the number I wanted it at. I can't even imagine what it would be like, already spooled and out on the water if I had to change it while fishing. I hope this isn't status quo for this product especially at its price point. ... show more

Love this reel. It casts a mile. So smooth .Adjusting the brake is pretty easy even spooled. I use the concept boss for inshore saltwater fishing and bass fishing. It’s just nice to have something built so well that I can take with me. I do give it a good rinse and oil when I fish the coast though. Definitely a good product ... show more

First the box wasnt wrapped in the factory shrink wrap. The box was the correct one for the reel though. (I already have 3 so it was easy to compare). The reel insides the box though was the cheap origin A series, not the Concewpt boss. Its about $50 bucks. Theres no way this wasnt planned from the shipper. Its a set up and Im calling them on it. ... show more
