Retired my Penn Battle II and wanted something different, I took a stab at this one and am in love! Super buttery-smooth retrieve, solid construction, and flat-out beautiful reel. Don’t really understand others gripes about the weight of this reel. Sure, it is “heavier” in comparison to others, but it’s nothing drastic or noticeable in my opinion. Don't overthink it. Just get you one. This is one of the best reels own and I have quite a few. Smooth as silk but tough as nails. I fish mostly salt water and it's geeks up well with rinsing after fishing.

Had mine for about 6 months and still works like it did out of the box. Very smooth reel and with closed gears isn’t affected by the salt water as much as other reels I’ve had.
