I got these with somewhat lower expectations for use in a risky environment (on the boat) so that I would not cry too hard if I lost them overboard or they got saltwater on them. They are better than I expected and have good light and are easy to focus. I have a couple other bino's including a really nice Nikon and still use these when I head into the woods or water. The nikons stay by a window now. I would buy these again when I ruin this pair.

It's nice to be able to take a pic using my phone because I can set up the shot and have my phone set to take the pic on voice command so it gets a clearer shot.

For what you pay you get a very nice set of binoculars plus the cheesy tripod which kinda works in very specific situations. The main thing is the binoculars themselves. They are solid and clear with easy focusing knob. I do like the tripod mounting clip, because it allows me to mount these binoculars on my much taller tripod.
