Thick and very heavy duty tarp. Material is much thicker at 16mil than most tarps. So far this has held up really well in the heavy wind and rains off the water. Winds can get very strong and normally the grommets tear and parts of the tarp become thin and beat up with the heavy wind. After a month the tarp still looks like new. After using the tarp I am confident I will be able to get at least 4-5 seasons of use. The tarp is a bit more money than lighter weight tarps available, but given the quality and durability it is a great value. Grommets are all brass, placed about every 2 feet, and all are reenforced, with the grommets at the corners have additional reenforcing. With the design it is unlikely the tarp will tear or rip around the grommet in heavy wind. Heavy fabric and reenforced grommets really set this tarp apart from others. Very impressed with the quality.

This isn't a cheap thin tarp that will shred itself in a wind storm, this is a seriously heavy duty tarp. The material is quite thick. I was surprised by how heavy this thing was when it arrived. It has a silver finish on the outer side that should work well to deflect sun if you're using this as a sun shade. The inner side is black. The grommets appear to be brass and are quite substantial. All stitching looks good and is doubled up. We set up a dog kennel to use as a chicken coop last year, and that came with a thin polyester top. That didn't even last a full year before it was destroyed by wind and UV exposure. This heavy duty tarp will replace the roof on the kennel, and should be much more durable and long-lasting.

The tarp is very durable and works well to cover my shed from the recent rainstorm. The material is made of durable polyethylene material and has held up for a couple storms and heavy winds. The reinforced grommet is a plus for securing the tarp down. The tarp seems durable enough to last for a few season. Be sure to measure the outer diameter of the place to cover so there is enough coverage.

This is definitely a heavy duty tarp, which I what I needed. I use this to protect firewood that we have sitting outside and this has kept the wood dry during heavy rain and doesn't blow off in heavy winds. The grommets are reinforced and very strong, no tearing or ripping here! The actual material is thick and holds up very well, not even the sharp edges of firewood can tear it or weaken it. I also like that it's silver as opposed to the boring blue that most tarps are now days. Overall, this is going to last me at least a couple years and I think it's well worth the price point. Highly recommend!

In the world of tarps, this is at the heavy duty end. Not at all like the ubiquitous blue tarps- quite a bit more substantial. I have some tarps that seem to me to be about the same weight and construction that have held up for years covering lumber. I expect this will hold up just as well. The price is fair for what you get- yes, there are cheaper tarps and depending on your use case they may be fine, but this will work for situations where you need a more rugged barrier that will stand up for a long while. It's nice that it's black on one side and silver on the other. It provides a choice of appearance and reflectivity.

If you, like me, are sick of the cheap - mostly useless - tarps that come at a value from the big box stores take a look at this one. The 16 mil tarp is quite robust and a great option for a wide variety of uses. The build quality seems good, grommets are strong and reinforced and it seems like it will hold up much better than many of the thinner options. Hard to tell how well the UV protection will help without a long term test but overall I'm very happy with this tarp. Great value and nice and thick.

UPDATE: The seller helped me out with my order, so I added two stars for their customer support. They are quick to reply and very helpful. Original: There is a weird unidentifiable stain on it, and it is a few inches shorter than advertised both in length and width. So, if you need them to be exact dimensionally, they won’t be, which is disappointing.
