I’m reviewing these pretty late because there was some confusion with the order. Not bad confusion but good confusion! I did not buy these “new,” I bought them through Amazon, from the manufacturer, as “used.” They were supposed to take about a month and a half to get here, and there were supposed to be four bulbs. I received a package with six bulbs just a week or two later. I wasn’t even sure it was the same order. So I got a great price, more bulbs than I thought, and quicker than I thought. And these work great! I recently replaced some 12V garden lamps and transformers, and the new lamps are LEDs, but I have some old fixtures that I like and wanted to keep them in line with the new ones. However, the new transformer specified that it preferred LEDS and, also, LEDs use a lot lower voltage. So I ordered these to replace the older incandescent halogen 1056/1041 BA 15S bulbs. These are corncob type though enclosed in plastic so they are weather resistant, they fit the lamp socket perfectly, and they provide bright, warm yellow-white (incandescent color) light in the garden that was about the same shade as the old incandescent bulbs. The most difficult thing about these bulbs is removing them from their tight cardboard boxes! These are excellent replacement bulbs for this size of 12V garden lamps. ... show more

These are very good quality -- quite sufficient brightness for the relatively low amount of power they use. The color is meant to copy the color spectrum you would get from the original incandescent light. They do very well by maintaining their brightness over a long period of time: other brands would lose light intensity over a few hundred hours of use , but not these bulbs -- they will maintain the same amount of light over an incredibly long period of time. Purchased these LED bulbs for my RV. The old halogen bulbs drained way too much power. These new bulbs are a pleasant warm color and use a fraction of the electricity. Just hope they also have a long life span.

The evolution of LED replacement lamps is littered with accounts of premature failure. Technology marches on as LED lighting rises to dominate the mainstream. Despite trepidation, it seemed a good time to explore the state of progress. I used these LeMeng products to replaced spent incandescent bulbs in my RV's interior lighting. Brightness is similar despite using only a fraction of the power draw demanded by the incandescent bulbs. The LED colour temperature is a bit warmer in contrast to the original stark white. I find this suitable to my use. The bulbs were installed last October and used occasionally until now, nearly a year later. Though hardly a rigorous test of longevity, none that are installed have failed during that time. HOWEVER, of the 6 bulbs purchased only 5 arrived working with one DOA. A similar defect ratio has been reported by other reviewers. This doesn't compare favourably to my experience with incandescent bulbs, having purchased countless over decades without a single DOA. I like the idea of using LED lighting and will like these working bulbs if they provide the promised years of service. In that case, even the effective cost-per-unit increase due to one being DOA could be considered reasonable. There is clearly room for progress to be made in manufacturing processes that advance reliability. On the other hand, this newer technology might rather usher in lower expectations as the new normal ... ... show more

Appropriately sized to fit in the designed plug, but they are longer than the little bitty ones. They seem to last fairly good, but if the fixture falls over and it sits in snow unprotected, it will take up water and the clear cover will not keep it dry.
