A very nice solar powered trickle charger/controller
This is a very nice solar powered trickle charger/controller. The panel itself is well worth the price so getting the controller with it is a bonus. Controller. The controller and panel are IP68 waterproof so you can set it up anywhere you want. I have my controller and battery in a waterproof plastic box just as a precaution. The wiring is excellent quality with the fool proof SAE connectors. The MPPT technology is the latest and greatest format used in contemporary solar energy systems so it is compatible with any 12 volt battery chemistry. I first tested mine with a 12 volt sla battery that was discharged to 11.62 volts. It took 4 days, 2 of which were over-cast, cloudy and 2 were at least 10 hours each of bright sunshine, for the charger to charge the battery to full capacity of 12.97 volts with the "charged" LED illuminated. That's not bad for a trickle charger. The LED function indicators are excellent. The directions are very clear and easy to understand. The panel itself is great. It measures 13 3/4 inches x 11 1/2 inches. It puts out an amazing 25.2 volts in bright midday sunshine. The all aluminum frame and stand are sturdy and provide proper support for the panel. This combination solar panel and controller will certainly help extend the battery life of your 12 volt batteries. It is definitely an excellent value and will pay for itself in no time. I have no reservations about recommending it.

An excellent solar panel maintainer

The instruction manual is clear and easy to understand, installation is simple, and the workmanship is excellent. The controller clearly displays when the solar panel receives sunlight, when the battery is charging, and when it is fully charged, automatically stopping charging once fully charged.

This solar charger works well for what I needed. I tested it on my car battery and it does slowly add charge when there’s good sunlight. I plan to leave it connected when the car sits unused for a while, so I don’t have to worry as much about coming back to a dead battery

Good cheap panel for projects
This solar battery charger is the real deal. The panel will put out more than 24-25W in full sunlight (verified with multi-meter). The Included controller does a good job monitoring the input and regulating the output so there is a steady current flowing to the battery. I do not have a vehicle to hook this to in need of a maintenance charge, but the low price of $27.99 makes it a nice choice of a solar panel to experiment with in my own projects. Build quality is not bad for the price point.

Good value, works well.
I installed this solar charger on my trailer to keep the onboard battery charged. It seems to be working fine, I have not needed to top off the battery. It's not the most elegant thing, the solar panel itself looks kinda cheap, and the mounting bracket isn't super strong, but it gets the job done. Considering the low cost I think it's a pretty good value.

Excellent Solar Battery Maintainer for Vehicles That Sit
This solar battery maintainer is an excellent solution for keeping 12V batteries topped off without having to rely on an electrical outlet. One thing I noticed from the instruction manual, although I didn’t see it clearly listed in the product description, is that the panel has a maximum output of 25 watts depending on available sunlight. It’s designed to maintain a charged battery rather than recharge a deeply discharged one, and it does that job very well. This is especially useful for vehicles that don’t get driven often, such as motorcycles, boats, classic cars, project vehicles, RVs, or an extra truck that only comes out when it’s needed. Instead of running extension cords or leaving a traditional battery maintainer plugged into an outlet, this lets the sun do the work while helping keep the battery healthy. One of my favorite features is the included charge controller. Previous solar maintainers I’ve used didn’t include one, but this controller clearly indicates when the panel is receiving sunlight, when the battery is charging, and when it’s fully charged so it can stop charging automatically. That added protection provides extra peace of mind. The solar panel itself feels well made with a sturdy frame, durable construction, and enough weight that it doesn’t feel flimsy. The cables are also long enough to permanently route the battery connection through the firewall into the cabin, which is how I’d recommend installing it. That way, the panel can simply be placed on the dashboard whenever it’s needed, unplugged and stored away when it isn’t, and reconnected in seconds without opening the hood every time. Considering how expensive replacement batteries have become, this is a small investment that can help extend battery life, save time, and avoid the frustration of dealing with a dead battery.

Works great for camping. Low draw interior light usage can be recharged during the day.
I’m really impressed with this solar battery maintainer for keeping my 12V batteries topped off without needing an outlet. The big thing I noticed is that it’s built to maintain a charged battery, not quickly recover a deeply discharged one. With limited sunlight available, it maxes out around 25W, so I use it for storage situations—my RV and motorcycle, plus boats, classic cars, project vehicles, and anything else that doesn’t get driven regularly. Instead of extension cords or an always-plugged-in charger, I just let the sun do the work and help keep the battery healthy over time.
