I purchase this recently when it was on sale. It arrived promptly and was easy to set up. At first I was a bit skeptical but overall it works quite well. For setup all you need to buy is insulation tape to seal the air gaps. The unit comes with plastic boards, foam pads and screws to connect the boards together. The unit operates quietly, blows ice cold air. The air comes out from top of the unit and the oscillation feature along with the turbo function circulates cool air through the room quickly. Spring arrived early this year and my new Humhold 12000 BTU has quickly become an essential component of my living space, offering reliable cooling for my 500 sq ft studio. One of its standout features is its impressive ability to cool my apartment in a remarkably short amount of time. While its cooling speed is exceptional, I also appreciate its moderate operating noise level. It is not completely silent but I do think that the sound of its running fan is within acceptable limits. I think there is a good balance between efficient cooling and minimal noise disruption. I would think that this air conditioner is suitable for anyone who values a serene environment without compromising on cooling performance. Additionally, I appreciate the range of useful settings and functions that the air conditioner offers, such as dehumidification, timing, and sleep mode. I am so far very satisfied with the dehumidification function. In summary, the 12000 BTU portable air conditioner has so far exceeded my expectations in both cooling speed and noise level.     • Effective and Great WiFi Controls

Bought this for a 750 sq ft cottage by the creek in GA, and easily connected a standard hose to drain through the floor and outside the crawlspace. I wanted one I could operate remotely since I don’t go into that building every day. After 6 months of use through southern summer storms and winter frost, I can say that it’s reliable and does the job well. More pros: -Easy to connect to WiFi and Alexa (and reconnect when changing WiFi router) -Super easy to control with the app or Alexa -Relatively quiet- I wouldn’t use it in a bedroom, but I can barely hear it in another room, unlike the older one it replaced Cons: -Honestly, the colored light part looks cool, but I don’t really understand its purpose other than to indicate it’s on. I mean, if it gets close to the humidity setting, it turns on, so why the light? A guest actually unplugged it because she didn’t like the glow in the other room while she slept. This is a great dehumidifier, quiet, and definitely works to keep our space at a nice humidity level. Two things to keep in mind though: The big LED light cannot be turned off when the dehumidifier is on, so this wouldn't be good for a bedroom. This dehumidifier produces warm air that significantly increases the temperature in our space, which isn't so great in the hot summer months. We bought this dehumidifier because we live in a basement apartment and need the air to be less humid. We end up having to turn it off during the middle of the day because of how warm it makes the space. Just something to be aware of. ... show more
