I am not going to waste your time, so you want to know if I would recommend you to buy it Yes, for the price and what it is made for, I think it's great value. Now, for those of you who have the time or those like me, skipped over 5-stars and dislike those one line reviews, read on. Bought this magnifier for Smartphone for my mother, she loves it, it beats seeing holding Sherlock style magnify glass in front of her phone. It's easy to set up and use. Ok, tech and my mother stopped sometimes after rotary phones. It's relatively lightweight. It has a wood grain looks to it but it looks more like a sticker on the other, I can't say what's the material underneath the sticker. The build is not bad, it's sturdy for what it is, I don't expect to last more than a year under daily use. The picture quality is magnifying glass quality. It's literally a plastic magnifying thing taped onto a base, I don't think 4K picture quality is being applied to magnifying glass yet. It beats holding the magnifying glass yourself for hours. Maybe it's my eyes, but the pictures have a curve to them, not the old tube style TV curve outward, the pictures curving inward. It was a little weird but you'll be okay, just remember it's a magnifying glass between you and your phone. I adjusted to it within few seconds, or more forgot all about the curve from the excitement and giggling. Yes, it's a low tech thing but it's pretty cool that it turned my Note 10 Plus screen into like a laptop-sized screen. The packaging was no fuzz to open, one small round tape to keep it sealed. I didn't even look at the instruction and figured out how to use it. The overall build quality isn't bad, but I think I've gotten one made on a Friday or Monday and no, I am sure it wasn't made on a Wednesday. As I said, it's a plastic magnifying glass taped onto a base. So after about a week of use, my mother told me the magnifying glass started to fall forward when she opens it. After I got my hands on it, the double-sided tape at the bottom edge of the glass were not smooth, they are wrinkled so less contact surface for the glass to adhered to the base. The way it is built, the thing itself promotes you to open and close it by holding onto the edge of the magnifying glass. Wrinkled tape plus open and close few times a day, it odds to happen. For the price I paid, I think it would wrong for me to expect white gloves lab coat kind of quality controls. I don't have any double-sided tape on-hand so for now, my mother has a giant plastic magnifying glass to hold onto rather than the heavier Sherlock style magnifying glass. Seriously, her go-to magnify glass is black handle with a black round frame on-top. Would it buy it again? Sure, when the thing start falling apart. Like I said, I expect it to last around a year. Would I buy it again right now cause the tape? No, I just need to find double-sided tape. Returning it would be more hassle for me than to fix it myself, just don't have the tape, glue or the time yet. So, would I still recommend you to buy it? Yes, for the price and what it is made for, I think it's great value. My alternative would be figuring out how to hook up my mother's smartphone to her 13 tube TV with a VCR combo, no, not a joke.

The picture makes it look like you would put your phone and have it magnified the size of the screen. It is not even close. The screen is plastic with a bunch of lines on it looks like it has a giant thumb print on it. Also when you try to prop up the screen it doesn’t stay very well, so if you breathe too hard it will fall over. I was hoping it would allow me to see my phone at night when I took my glasses off but it doesn’t magnify it well enough for that. But at least it wasn’t that expensive so it isn’t too upsetting that it doesn’t really work. If there is something out there that actually does what the picture falsely shows...I will buy one.

Although purchased on a whim, my screen magnifier has proven to be a great assett when watching streamed movies on my phone. I am able to watch a movie in a reasonably sized screen (5X 7 ish) by simply setting up my phone on the magnifier stage. I find this a handy thing to keep in my bedside drawer, and when a bout of insomnia occurs I can watch a movie or episode of something without leaving the comfort of my bed. The magnifier lens is plastic and there is some expected distortion of the picture...but it is minimal. It is not an expensive item, and is made of inexpensive materials. But it certainly delivers it's promise of magnification. I would buy this product again.

I don’t like anything about this device.Firstly,the photos of the device are greatly exaggerated,to make the projected phone imaging on the screen picture perfect and it is not.Additionally the magnified plastic makes the imaging appear to be cheap and the device takes up too much room on a platform. I would advise spending on a tablet,iPad mini or the iPad.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news .....Amazon prime provides the advantage of returning this crappy screen with no additional cost until the end of Jan.

Ok In thought buying a more exspensive screen magnifyer whould be better Well wrong. This sucks. The phone falls off the slot . and the screen came off ..guess it wasn't glued to good. The other one I have ( even though it was less money) has a slot for your phone.it holds it in place.Not this one .you bump it and it falls.So irritating..so I'll give this product 1/and half. Very disapointing

I reeeally wanted to like this low-tech option and was planning to gift one to my sister as well. Unfortunately, it just doesnt cut it. The resolution is just bad and the reflective glare is distracting. Also, its tricky to get the phone just right to get it to fill the screen. Great idea, but needs some major improvements. For now, I'd rather the smaller, yet beautiful resolution of my phone, even for movies.

I got this as a Father's Day gift for my husband. I often see him watching the small screen on his phone, and I thought this would be the perfect little portable gift for his Marvel-movie watching needs. He really enjoys this screen. It looks great, and it stores down flat. His only wish for this little gadget is that it have some sort of light-blocking housing, as depending on where he is sitting while using it indicates possible light interference. But overall, great product. Would definitely recommend.
