Frequently asked questions

The 12'' screen magnifier works by using a foldable stand and a lens to enlarge your smartphone's screen, making it appear larger for movies, videos, and gaming. It does not require power; it magnifies the phone's screen through physical optics, enhancing your viewing experience without the need for an electric connection.

Yes, the screen magnifier is designed to be universally compatible with all smartphones. Whether you have an Android or iOS device, you can use this screen magnifier to amplify your phone's display.

While primarily designed for enhancing the experience of watching movies, videos, and gaming, the screen magnifier can also be used to enlarge texts for easier reading. However, due to its focus on visual content, clarity for texts might not be as sharp as specialized reading devices.

The foldable stand of the screen magnifier is built to be durable, ensuring it can support your smartphone securely. While it provides a stable base for viewing, the adjustability might be limited to the folding mechanism, designed for easy storage and basic angle adjustments for optimal viewing.

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The product in question appears to be a screen magnifier designed for enhancing the visual experience of smartphone content. Users have highlighted its ease of use and versatile design, making it particularly appealing for watching videos or playing games on a larger "screen". The faux wood look and portable form factor were praised, though some critiques were made about picture clarity and stability of the device in use. Despite its shortcomings, it is considered a worthy purchase by most for its affordability and the solution it provides to small screen viewing.

Pros

  • 🎒 Compact and portable, easy to carry around.
  • ✅ Easy to set up and dismantle, user-friendly for all ages.
  • 💵 Affordable price point for a functional gadget.
  • 🌟 Attractive faux wood design adds to its aesthetic appeal.

Cons

  • 👎 Picture quality can degrade, becoming blurry at distance or angles.
  • ⚙️ Some users find the device's phone holder less effective, causing the phone to slide.
  • 📐 Viewing angle limitations require adjustment for optimal use.
  • 🔍 Magnification might introduce distortion, affecting the sharpness of images.

Should I Buy It?

If you frequently watch content on your phone and would appreciate a larger view without breaking the bank, this product is worth considering. Despite some issues with picture quality and stability, it's a modest investment for the convenience it offers, especially for users with vision challenges or those who enjoy on-the-go entertainment.

  • This is a game changer, literally!
I have an adult son who is visually impaired. He is functional, works... etc... but he wears the highest strength prescription glasses, and his vision is corrected the best that it can be, but has very poor vision. He has never been able to read texts on a cell phone, or watch a video, as it is all a blur to him. When I saw this item I thought,.., humm... maybe this will help him? I know that he loves to watch football and has often told me that some of the teams he likes can only be viewed on his cell phone because he has a very limited cable TV plan...but for him it's useless because he just can see the game on a cell phone. Anyway.. I got him this as part of his Christmas gift. His life is changed, no kidding! He can now watch the games he wants to watch and he can read messages and do searches on the internet while sitting at the table with his phone and this screen magnifier. This was a Christmas miracle for him. Who would have thought something so simple could be so life-altering? I highly recommend this screen magnifier. Super high quality without the high price! ... show more

  • Great overall product- visual is just OK
Tried this out to play my SWITCH at a range where it wasn't directly in front of my face. I think it's pretty true to form from what other reviewers have noted. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, but not estatic about it. NOTES: - Love the overall faux wood look and ease of setup. - SIZE is decent and about the size of my 15-inch macbook pro. It says it's a 12" magnification but the whole thing definitely presents as bigger - VISUAL QUALILTY is decent and legible but definitely loses quality and gets a bit more blury the further away you get from the screen. Distance from looking at a laptop screen is about the distance I use, which works, even for small lettering during subtitles of a game - PRICE is great for what it is (combo package of looks/style, and quality. CONS: Only major con for me is that the positioner that is supposed to hold the object being magnified is not very useful- I end up having to place another object (like my iphone) to hold the object (Switch) up and prevent it from sliding down flat. ... show more

  • Screen images probably won't be as sharp as the phone.
I saw this and decided to try it. It's very easy to set up and take back down, and doesn't take much space to store it. All pluses to me. It is just a magnifying panel and therefore the edges appear more blurry than the center. The center isn't real clear either, so I don't use it a lot because it bothers my eyes until I get used to the fuzzy image. Also because it is a plastic panel, the light wants to reflect off of it, making it harder to see the image on the phone behind it. It helps a lot to turn off the lights and watch it in a dark room, then the glare is pretty much gone. I've also noticed that the further back I get the more the phone fills up the magnifying screen. It looks sharper too. I'm using the Samsung S 10 E. Over all it is a decent magnifier for the money. If you have trouble seeing things on your phone because it is too small, this could help you. I can actually see pretty good right on the phone so it isn't so critical for me to have something like this. So if for you, bigger is better, than this could be very helpful. Hope this helps you decide if this is right for you. ... show more

  • Great idea, but lacks in key areas.
I like how flat this folds for storage. It can be slipped between books on a bookshelf or sit flat on an end table. The cover rolls back rather than under itself (that took a minute to figure out). The pad next to the rolled cover provides a place for the phone to rest, but it could have more grip so the phone doesn't fall so easily. A longer pad would allow for propping the phone at greater angles for visibility. The screen is also limited when it comes to positions. The description says it is adjustable, but the gripper spot that supports the screen is too small to change the angle more than a few millimetres. As it is, the phone is mostly vertical against the rolled cover while the lens screen only has a slight tilt back. In order to see the whole phone screen through the magnifier, you have to move the whole unit to a position that is level with your eyes or else tilted so that the screen surface points up at an angle, in which case you have to hold the screen so it doesn't fold flat. The image that you see through the magnifier doesn't fill the screen, although I guess that would depend on how big your phone is to begin with. I'd say my Samsung Galaxy S6 fills 60% to 75%. All in all this does magnify the phone screen well enough for videos. Anything with writing is varying in clarity due to the curvature of the screen that causes the magnification. It is only useful with the phone in the landscape position, unless you only want to see the bottom half of your screen. ... show more

  • Utter functional disappointment.
I was really excited to get this as a Christmas gift, but what a disappointment! Pros: I like the compact Scandinavian style design, and the concept. Cons: Everything else! The phone stand part that 'rolls' up kept wanting to unroll itself, which it did without the weight of the phone being pinned against it. The angle adjustment was just plain laughable. the screen can only be viewed by one person sitting right in front of it, the image quality was embarrassingly diffused/fuzzy and MAYBE if you could find the right position and not move your head more than a half-inch you could utilize the entire screen. Reality is that you still see the edges of your phone and whatever might be in the background, like the stand itself. The screen is plastic and lathed like a vinyl record to give it the magnification effect. If you've ever seen or had one, this is like a large version of those plastic 'credit card' wallet sized magnifying glasses that you can get 10 of for a dollar. I understand that visual marketing is a thing and a Big Mac in reality doesn't look like the one in the commercial, but the marketing pictures for this are ridiculously inaccurate. It If this gadget was only $5 I'd still feel jipped. It's yet another Chinese made gizmo that doesn't live up to it's promise. Don't say I didn't warn ya! ... show more
