I have an old, Graco airless sprayer I hadn't used in over 20 years, but I had a shed I wanted to paint. I couldn't find the old gun, so I bought this one and hoped it would work. It seems to work fine. It's a little finicky starting out. It takes a wrench to tighten everything, so the only trick is getting the front nozzle tight enough not to squirt out the sides but loose enough you can still rotate the tips. Arrow forward is normal painting, reverse the tip to clear clogs. I found that for some reason, it tends to clog once or twice when I first get started, but for some reason after that, clogs are rare. I'm sure that's something I'm doing wrong due to my amateur experience. I've only sprayed about 4 or 5 gallons so far, but this worked great. A professional painter may have a different opinion, but it worked as expected for me.

I have a professional Graco airless. So why buy this gun? I always clean my guns as soon as I am through using them. This last time I took the gun off the filter assembly and threw it in a bucket of solvent. Can’t find the bucket. I have an older Wagner gun, but the tip was not reversible. I couldn’t find a nylon washer for it. A reversible tip and adaptor would have cost more than a new gun. I took a chance with this one and was pleasantly surprised. That is not to say it did not have issues. It did. But they were solvable. Issue 1: the filter did not protrude up enough to go into the gun housing. I used 4 little O rings which worked out great. 2: the bolt that held the handle fell off after 10 gallons had been sprayed. I found the bolt but not the nut. So I reinstalled the bolt and secured it with an O ring and went back to work . The gun worked flawlessly after that. Here is my takeaway, the gun, engineering, materials are great. Quality control is lacking. A tip alone at the big box paint store was more than double the cost of this gun with 5 tips and 5 filters. Would not hesitate to buy another one if needed. But, I’m cleaning this one and will continue to use it versus lose it. Overall very happy. Got me out of a stupid pinch.

This gun is a great deal for the price. I used it with my graco sprayer and layer down a nice finish on a pair of barn doors. The five tips will cover a number different applications I highly recommend

At first look it’s a nice setup with extra filters and tips. Tip guard is wobbly even after tightening. After closer inspection, the upper seal was all shredded and blocking the flow. I’m happy I checked this prior to running paint through it because it would have been a mess. Very low quality item here which I guess I had it coming from the price. Item returned.

Compared to a Graco SG3 spray gun, is this a comparable substitute? Nope! Is it a cheap, quick, sacrificial gun you might be able to use and won't cry if its dropped? Maybe? This gun does work and has a good weight. It is a little rough, the guard is flimsy, and like others have pointed out, you'll need a couple of pipe wrenches to remove the handle. Why it is so tight is mind boggling. The trigger has a very heavy pull and the trigger safety doesn't fully engage The swivel works fine and most importantly it does not leak. The biggest issue is the tip guard and the tips. Neither are very good. The first tip I tried only sprayed half the width. And the tip guard is drippy unless it is super tight. Also this gun is very sensitive to extensions, even short ones take a bit of tuning. If you just need an ok, right now sprayer, its fine. Otherwise, spend more on a better gun.
