These are far better than the drop ceiling lights I replaced in our basement. When we replaced the old "can" lights, we invariably ended up with different bulbs and light temps. These are so much nicer, dim really effectively, and having the option to alter color temperature is a helpful addition. We had a very dark hallway with an ugly light on one end. I cut two 4.25" holes for the lights and found only 1.5" of space. No problem. Just add a wire clamp and insert the wires into the provided push in wire connectors. I found just the right angle to place the box into the ceiling. Connect the light to the box and select the color temperature and install the light. I installed 2 lights in the hallway and replaced the old light fixture with a cover. UPDATE: Since my original review, I have bought 4 additional boxes of 12 lights each, and have not had any other problems. I am sure my original box was just a bad batch. I have updated my rating to 5 stars! I am so happy with these lights; I am buying 100 more for my next basement! ORIGINAL: These are great little lights, but two of mine failed. The little transformers in the junction boxes smoked and ended up frying the lights they were attached to. Even with that issue, these lights are very cheap, and I was pleased. ... show more

The enclosed connectors were not attached to the lamp power wire and I could not figure how to get the power wire and A/C line voltage in the same connector.
