Seems smaller than six inches, tbh, more like 4-5. The corners haven't fluffed out yet on one side. Otherwise very soft and seems like good quality, perfect for my small 10 year old and average 8 year old! Easy to open and set up, comes with a letter opener type thing. No weird smell or anything. My kids say they're comfortable with them in their new loft beds

This mattress is extremely firm. That isn't necessarily a flaw... But it's much more firm than I wanted. It almost feel like a thick cushion on a hard floor. Not a bad option especially for the cost but isn't the most comfortable

The edges of Mattress will not expand, it’s lopsided, how are you supposed to return a Mattress that is 90% expanded, I asked for a refund, will wait for response. Don’t Buy I order many items from Amazon & never have written a complaint, this is the first.
