Update: We got two inches of snow, and I tried it out. I told my wife it was so easy that it was almost fun! We don't have a lot to clean - steps, a short sidewalk and several more steps on a walk to the house. I found the steps the hardest, since you have to go side-to-side, but it's narrow enough to work well and light enough that it wasn't hard to do. When I finished I put the battery back on the charger and it still showed four bars, so it was ready to handle a MUCH bigger job. It's my first snow blower, and I finally see what the fuss is about. We don't have any snow yet, so I can't review how well it throws snow. But I found it extremely easy to assemble, it feels light and compact and easy to hold and maneuver, and when I turned it on (noting the safety lock) it feels powerful and like it would do a nice job, without any significant kick or excessive vibration. The battery came mostly charged, and the included charger topped it off fairly quickly. There was some confusion when I tried to look for one of the parts in the manual - apparently they changed chargers between when it was printed and they shipped the unit. Or maybe it's just a mistake. Either way, you don't get the charger that's shown on the documentation, but I don't think it matters. ... show more

This is a really nice compliment to a regular snow blower. I have a big gas powered blower which does awesome in heavy snow but can't fit in small areas and is really too clunky to break out in anything under 3-4 inches. Normally on light snow I'll just use a regular snow shovel. This fits in perfectly. Even for small dustings this is perfect. It is not much heavier than a regular snow shovel and the dewalt comparability ensures I have plenty of batteries laying around. We haven't gotten heavy snow this year to test but I wouldn't really make that it's primary use as I suspect it will struggle in heavy snow/slush.     • Don't bother.

Don't bother with it. Nice idea but no power. Put your money toward a real snow blower. It might move very light fluffy snow maybe. But a regular shovel is lighter and eaiser to use without the cost and hassel of battery charging. Any wet or heavy snow it can't move it. Not strong enough.
