I love this kit. For anyone who shares my nostalgia for Johnny 5 from the original movies, this will be a sure hit. I was surprised by how large he was and the functionality for the price is excellent. He has a remote and you can also control its the smartphone app although the app is not very user friendly. If I had to give one bit of critical feedback regarding the kit design, it is that his rear wheels are cosmetic and conceal a ball bearing, rather than swiveling as in the design. Otherwise though, the build does an incredible job of making him look lifelike at this scale, and having a remote controlled version that can actually drive around is very fun. Be aware though, he's not all-terrain at all- due to a lack of suspension he vibrates a lot when moving around, doesn't have a lot of power or stability to get over obstacles, and he's quite slow too. I think of him more as posable display model than a toy, and the play features are just a nice-to-have bonus. If you have those same expectations, he will not disappoint!

Very nice kit. No missing parts, the instructions were mostly clear. If you love the movie Short Circuit and Johnny Number 5 you would love this build. More of a display then a RC...parts fall off. I bought for the size.

Great build. Robot charges and works great! I grew up in the 80’s so building this with my son was a wonderful experience and brought back great memories.

It was bigger then expected but was missing one piece but still my second favorite block set

Some of the pieces wouldn’t stick together well, such as the side plates on the tracks so I left those off. For me I wouldn’t chance using movement such as the remote control but it looks quite well sitting on a shelf.

I received this as a gift and I was so excited to assemble it. I was on step 143 and I realized that I am missing 1x-7. I thought ai could do with out it and then I reached 147 and I am also missing 1x #3 1:1. This is very frustrating because there is no number to contact to get extra parts.

Bought this for my Son on Christmas. We watch the movie and he loved it so I thought it would be a cool gift. Easy assembly instructions and fun to play with. Head rotates and drives remotely. I recommend this toy to anyone.

A lot of missing parts had to order a 2nd one to complete the first Johnny. All parts fir each step are in several bags marked with the same number. You will need to open all of the same number to complete that particular step. Many small parts. I could recommend this if you know of anyone working on fine motor skills. But not someone that expects to complete the Robot with 1 kit. It is not in my opinion worth the money. Nor would I recommend this item for kids I do not think they would have fun, parts are to easily dropped and could be lost.
