First, some negatives as others have mentioned...the water pump is worthless. It has a 110v cord on a 220v pump. Not the end of the world but annoying. This is just pure laziness. 1) They should have enough common sense to not advertise it with a water pump to US customers if they know 100% you are not getting a water pump. 2) No wrenches as others have stated. 3) Next to zero accurate documentation. There is a comment to not do the wiring unless you are a electrician. That is silly. Here is what I did. 1) I bought this power cord. " 20FT NEMA 6-15P/6-15R Power Extension Cord for 220/240V Air-Condition,...." ... here on amazon.. .2) I cut the end not going to the wall off 3) I bought the blue colored ring connectors from HDepot 4) I hooked black and white to any two of the power connectors (can't recall the letters UVW? easy to look up). I hooked the ground to the only ground on the VFD. 5) I purchased the wiring that went between the VFD and Spindle ready to go...premade from corvetteguy50 - easy to find for $230 shipping. In his video he will tell you how to hook up the wires...super simple. I put both grounds on the only ground screen on the VFD. Green from the 220 cord you purchased here on Amazon from above and one from green ring connector coming off the ground from wire purchased from corvetteguy. 6) I cut the original orange water pump line in half. 7) I put the original water pump screen in adapter onto the new water pump (its the right size..you will need this) 8) Connected the water lines (one going to Spindle from new pump and one going from spindle into water bucket). 9) I tested to make sure the water pump was flowing with no leaks. 10) I programmed the VFD as shown on most videos. I only programmed 2 codes I do believe - PD005 and PD004. 11). I turned it on. 12) Tested a cut...completely tore up the wood. 13) Spend 7 hours in the garage trying to figure out what was going on...went to bed unresolved. 14) Woke up and realized the spindle was sent programmed to spin the wrong direction. 15) Hit the REV button on the VFD...spindle spins correctly now and everything works great. I hope this helped someone. Figuring out how to do this...took much more time than actually doing anything. Was way easier than I thought it would be and I'm no electrician. Be careful and the above is not electrical advise...just telling you how I got this mystery thing to run. And I bought this water pump from Amazon ..."VIVOSUN 800GPH Submersible Pump(3000L/H, 24W)" - Keep the hose to pump adapter from the old pump...you will need it. And that's it. I was out the door for about $650 or so but way better than the $3500 my CNC company wanted for a 1.7KW HSD Spindle and VFD. Besides, if one part goes bad on this unit....you now know how to fix it.

The bad first. The water pump didn't work but it's not why would buy this. Just plan on buying a good quality pond pump. Otherwise it has been great. I've done several 24 hour plus cuts without a hiccup. The VFD is tied into my CNC controller so the G code commands it to start, sets the speed, and to turn off once it's done. After 24 hours the spindle is warm to the touch but not hot. It has lots of power. I use a CMT 2 3/8" surfacing bit set to 8000 rpm. It handles it without an issue. I've even used a 3" half round bit. ust add ferrite beads on the power cable for the spindle.

Got this kit a few months ago - took a minute to wire it up - but it was fairly easy. The instructions provided are in broken/improper english but nothing youtube cant fix ;-) Got everything wired in and hooked up - first carve was a 13 hour carve and my GFCI kept popping - come to find out VFDs are synonymous with tripping GFCI outlets. I tried a less sensitive GFCI and got no love. Swapped to a regular outlet and we were back in the race. Ran flawlessly - BE SURE TO RUN THORUGH ALL THE VFD SETTINGS. The ones supposedly preset are incorrect so I'd recommend you verify each one that applies to your setup. Worth the money IMO. Side note: the vendor should remove the 65mm mount and replace that with a water tight 5 gallon container for the pump.

Well packaged. Decent install instructions. Bought better quality water lines, a CW3000 chiller and a double shielded VFD to spindle cable. Run about 60 hrs for far including an 18 hr continuous job. Never got over 7 degrees about room temp. Works great and so much quieter than a spindle.

Everything has gone smoothly, from unboxing through to setup and use. I had a couple things that I wasn't sure about, but quickly resolved them. The printed manual provided a lot of detail. It could be improved a little for the DIY CNC customer if it contained some more tutorial information for someone who is using a spindle like this for the first time after using only a woodworking router previously. The build quality is good. I didn't use the 240V water pump. I only wanted to wire a single 240V outlet, not a second one for the water pump. The supplied water hose has metric dimensions. Getting it to work with 1/4" hose barb was slightly challenging. I ended up warming the end of the hose in a cup of hot water to stretch it a little and get it to fit, worked fine. Getting this spindle from Huanyang gave me some confidence in ordering, since it would enable me to use online resources for help. That was borne out for me. I've seen other spindles, but not sure that they'd work the same in all details, especially as regards the VFD, so was pleased to find Huanyang offering the spindle themselves.

I bought the kit, spindle with correct VFD, beause it said it would be 'ready to go' as VFD was set by factory. Well, it worked for a while. During light duty minimal flattening of the spoil board it stopped w/o warning and w/o any workload, it showed EoCA. I restarted it and after another hour the same happened (flattening w/ 1" planer <0.2mm cut). I read up and measured 1.9 ohm between all legs. Seemed right. I restarted and soon the EoCAs became more frequent. Currently it does not start anymore and two legs measure now 1.5 ohm and one is 0.3 ohm. I have not evem finished flattening my spoil board and this spindle is done. I am ordering a new one but I am wondering why the factory setting was set to 220V in the VFD while mine was 110 V. Can someone explain this? I had a new spindle for a while and performance was mediocre. Today however my VFD just sparked and went up in flames. I realized this immediately or else my shop could have burned down. I am reducing to one star.
