Read the reviews about leaks and other things, mine said it was the updated one. Works perfectly hot water in about 2 seconds, put a big plastic tub under it incase it did leak and a water alarm so I would know if it did but so far so great. Did have to buy long hoses to connect it to my faucet and valve but it works perfectly and holds the temperature a long time before heating up again. Hook it to my hot side do I would have hot water until the main water from my big water heater gets there. even runs the dish washer. Just what I wanted. I’ll see how long it lasts. ... show more

Ok first of all I know it isn't supposed to be rated for a shower, but that's how it's hooked up.. I'm to cheap to buy a full size hot water heater so I thought I would take the risk and try this little guy out.. and you know what.... I works really well... now it's only big enough to take a 10 minute shower at a high temp... but even when the high temp cools down after about ten minutes it can keep up and stays decently hot for as long as you run it... it doesn't even trip the breaker which is usually a problem when running appliances like AC or box heater.. I can say I'm very pleased with this little unit... I've only had it a couple months but so far so good. It allowed me to save up for a full size hot water heater but I'm going to keep using it just to see how far it goes. It's been a life saver up till this point.. easy to hook up, and small enough to tuck anywhere... good stuff. That's all I got for you ... show more

OK, so my happiness quickly turned to frustration in less than 60 days.... I installed the hot water heater very easily in my shop to service my utility sink. I was happy because the price was very reasonable at $108 bucks (includes everything). It worked great initially and I was feeling pretty proud of myself for saving money. Then, it leaked. It did not leak from any connection I installed. It leaked directly from the tank itself, and boy did it leak. I literally installed this POS on 16 Dec 2023, and removed it on 16 Feb 2024 while cleaning up water in my shop. Do not waste your money. This thing will not last. It is nice at first, but beyond 60 days... good freaking luck! ... show more

The package came damaged, but I didn't see any damage to the product. If it has any, it doesn't appear to be affecting the performance. It took about 10 minutes to install and I only needed to get one extra part, a coupling of sorts, which I made, to complete the installation. It had a little leak that was remedied by tightening one of the supply lines. After turning on the water, I plugged it in and it didn't turn on. I checked the breaker, then I realized that I had plugged it into the disposal outlet. The relief valve hose was hard to install. I just heated the end over a stove burner a little and it went right on. First day good, so far. ... show more

I got this to put in my RV. I still have the propane water heater as well for back up. Installation is straight forward. Installed just you would for a house I added a cut off valve on the cold water side (inlet) the same as residential. I also added 2 cut off valves to isolate the propane heater. I also put this on a single 20 amp circuit with 10 g wire. The outlet has an on off switch so I can turn it off and not use electric all day and night when not needed So far, 3 weeks now I am very pleased. This fit perfectly in the cabinet under the bathroom sink. You can’t always go by the reviews there is always folks giving a review on something that don’t know what they are talking about. This is a nifty little heater and it worked great at first. It was very easy to install and it provided fast, hot water as expected. However it began leaking at the top of the pressure release valve, and when I looked into the issue, it turned out the gasket on my hose was bad. That wasn't a big deal, but as I was tightening the new hose on to the pressure valve, the brass snapped at the pipe threads. I've never seen a hand-wrenched brass fitting break in my own hands like that before, and the the valve design appears proprietary so not easy to find a replacement. So, in summary, it's a good little heater, but the hardware is junk. ... show more
