It's easy to install, and OOOJS provides two flexible hoses, one end is 1/2 inch and the other end is 3/8 inch, which are very suitable for my fittings. Because I installed it myself throughout the process, the first time I installed it incorrectly, I installed the pressure relief valve on the outlet (red end), and it flowed out slowly, while the pressure relief valve kept leaking water, obviously it was the wrong installation. The correct installation should be to install the pressure relief valve on the inlet (blue end), which works very well, it can get a lot of hot water, even I think the other 8 gallon one can be used for bathing! This 4 gallon device works very well, I set it to 125 degrees. I use instant hot water because it uses hot water pipes, if I use more than 4 gallons of water, I get heat from the main water tank. So it is a good constant source of hot water. I installed it at the hot and cold water tap at home. The dishwasher is still supplied by the main water tank. I don't want to use a 15 amp cord anymore, so I power it with the dishwasher plug. I bought an in-line expansion switch with a rated load. The tank can keep hot water for a long time, it only takes 10 minutes to heat up. It's a perfect solution, it's small and easy to install. No more cold water in winter to wash hands, no more wasting hot water.

Arrived with rusty pipe threads, instructions are poor the fittings on the pipe don’t seem to match anything at Home Depot. Included some hoses if you are installing it directly to your sink but no way to hook it to pex or copper for different installations. Avoid at all costs.

It is getting cold in the morning and it wastes a lot of cold water for the hot water to come out from tap in current whole house water heater. So I purchased this to install in the bathroom. The installation is pretty straightforward and it does come with all the necessary accessories, including hoses, valves and tee. The heater heats water to preset temp pretty quickly. The 4 gallon is good enough for sink use.

Directions seem confusing to me. But I'm not a plumber. Did get it installed and it seems to work. There is what looks like a red light on the front. I assumed that it was the power on light. But it does nothing and I don't see anything in the directions about it. So I turned up the control knob all the way and waited a few hours. Got instant hot water, very hot. The kitchen sink is the furthest away from the main water heater, so it would take at least 5 minutes to get warm water. So far so good. Update 1/29/25. Stopped working. Instructions say there is a reset button behind front panel, can't find one. I would say stay away.

I used to have a 2 gallon small water heater and it works great especially in winter, however the capacity is small and there is only one main water heater in my house so the hot water is not enough. This one has 4 gallon and size is just a little bigger than the 2 gallon ones still can fit in the cabinets under the sink. Installation is easy and product is high quality.
