I usually like to have more experience with this kind of product. Power is temporary and limited amps where this is so I haven't run this full time, but I have run it. It seems to me that it only took 5 to10 minutes to heat from outside winter water to 120°F. That's pretty good for an undersink unit. If I were cleaning paint brushes I would have run out of hot water. But for washing my hands 2.5 gallons is plenty. The instructions are a little confusing, and I am not sure how I feel about the tiny relief valve hose. That said it is a nice looking unit, looks to be high quality. I had none of the leaking problems I see reported here. I am a professional so I used both tape and pipe dope. The temperature was within 5°F of the setpoint. I think that's adequate. I like that the tank is stainless. I would certainly buy from them again. ... show more

Hot water heater went out on my class A motorhome and couldn’t get it replace until day before leaving on 6 week trip. Ordered this one since it wasn’t made in China. It provided plenty of hot water for showers for both my wife and I. We even used washing machine with warm water temperature setting. We still carry it with us just in case new HW heater fails. 2000 miles from home without hot water is not fun. Only took about 30 minutes to install it in my coach. Product worked good for the first few days. Then it started leaking water. The provided seals do not work very well. The leak has been a consistent problem since purchase. They asked that i send them pictures which i did. Now it does not work at all. Has stopped heating the water all together. Product is not in a high use bathroom so it's not like it gets over used or over worked. It lasted just about 5 months and cropped out. The washers supplied that go between the hoses and the hot and cold water connections on the heater are made of rubber that swells up, particularly on the hot side. After three months, the washer material had extruded itself into the center, almost completely blocking water flow. Simple to fix, cut away the extra material but will likely replace with better washers. ... show more

Considering how much pleasure I get from having nice warm/hot water after 4 seconds, I am thinking that of the literally thousands of item I've bought off Amazon over the past 22(!) years, this cute little, perfect water heater might be the best thing of all. Unlikely but may be true. BUT the manufacturer needs to offer HELP! For the subset of buyers like me who have fixtures using 3/8" connectors and not the RV situation. I had a devil of a time figuring out what I needed and then finding parts (see below) and then had a problem after installation as well. ................................. I installed under house sink connecting to a pull-down faucet ... NOT an RV set-up. Turned out I had 2 problems: 1 - I had to search high and low for adapters, since my under-sink water supply to my pull-down faucet used all 3/8" flexible tubing. The correct 3/8"M to 1/2"M to 3/8"F NPS threaded T-adapters, which were NOT included in the kit, were HARD to find. After probably 3+ hours of trying figure out correct threading and configurations and sizes and searching again and again (Amazon search engine SUCKS!!!), I finally found exactly what works: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1F6B39X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Actually I should have simply used a straight NPS 3/8"M to 1/2"M connector for the Hot side since: https://www.amazon.com/PackCompression-Fitting-Reducer-Plumbing-Connector/dp/B0BFL28VCX/ref=sr_1_13?crid=1LQ8UXSSBGHB3&keywords=3%2F8+Male+x+1%2F2+Male+NPS+Adapter+%22not+NPT%22&qid=1678293789&s=hi&sprefix=3%2F8+male+x+1%2F2+male+nps+adapter+not+npt+%2Ctools%2C141&sr=1-13 I should NOT have spliced into the Hot faucet from my 40-gallon tank. I did, of course, need a T-adapter for the cold water side so I could still draw Cold water into my faucet. 2 - After installation, every time I used the Hot water, I got a "spitting" for 2 seconds then the flow from the new tank. BUT over night, I discovered the Hot water was ice cold despite the new tank registering 102F! Turns out I was NOT drawing from the new tank but from the ice cold feed from my 40-gallon hot water heater! That's exactly what I wanted to avoid: wasting 1.5+ gallons every time I wanted hot water but got ice cold water from the main tank, 20 feet away. After shutting off and thus totally bypassing the Hot water spigot (now connected to nothing!) from the main 40-gallon tank, I ended the spitting and instantly got hot water from under the sink! ... show more

I almost put it on the hot side as is typical! The arrow on the valve is barely visible. They don’t explain why it is to be put on the cold side. The directions suck. Better info on the Amazon ad. Dangerous. I question the safety of this.

The first unit developed a slow internal leak. The prompt replacement seems OK> The technical detail is misinformation. It stated Country of Origin: ‎Switzerland but it is made in China. The emergency water outlet is a joke. Although I did not check the prevailing safety code, the failure release valve is very tiny and water ejection tubing is not much greater than 1/4" vinyl tubing. If temperature control malfunctions and the heater stayed on, the internal pressure may bust up the tank and make mess or worse under the sink. The seller, including Amazon should investigate this. I did take this risk, since I got piping done. I can not recommend this to others. ... show more
