I bought this for the stellar reviews and I have to agree. 2022 Gladiator Sport diesel and radio fit perfect and connected to phone with no problems. Used their included backup camera because that adapter is pricey and I didn't have to power it tapping into a backup light wiring, just plugged it in and it worked. If you want to replace the aging, small factory screen in your 2018–2021 Jeep Wrangler JL or 2020–2021 Gladiator JT, this ApexNav 11.5-inch Android 13 head unit is an incredible option. For around $246, it completely modernizes the interior, feels fast, and gives you premium smartphone integration for a fraction of what a big-name audio shop would charge. The Installation & Dashboard Fit: This kit is remarkably easy to install. The physical dash shroud is molded to match the factory dashboard texture and lines of the JL/JT interior precisely. It includes everything you need for a straightforward job, including a frame removal tool and plug-and-play wiring harnesses. Thanks to the integrated Canbus module, it naturally retains your steering wheel controls without any manual programming headaches. Hardware & Connectivity Upgrades: What makes this unit significantly different from lower-tier budget stereos is the beefier hardware specification: 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM: This is the sweet spot for Android-based head units. The factory OEM backup camera will not plug directly into this unit out of the box. The kit includes a high-quality 1080P AHD backup camera to replace it. However, if you don't want to run a new video cable all the way to your rear bumper/spare tire mount and prefer to keep your factory Jeep backup camera, you must buy a separate factory camera retention RCA adapter. Look into getting that adapter before you start the installation to save yourself a mid-project delay. Verdict: For under $250, you are getting an absolute powerhouse of a display that completely changes the layout of a Wrangler or Gladiator cockpit. It looks great, sounds excellent, and has the processing speed to keep up with heavy daily use. This does NOT work properly if you have the upgraded premium sounds (Alpine) package with the large bass woofer in the cargo space behind the seats. This head into does not have the correct outputs to connect.

    • Huge Upgrade Over Factory Infotainment, Especially for the Price
I was honestly impressed with this unit. Factory infotainment systems, especially in vehicles that are a few years old, can start to feel outdated quickly. Adding a large touchscreen with wireless CarPlay and modern features completely changes the driving experience without having to spend factory replacement prices. Pros: The biggest improvement is the screen itself. The 11.5-inch display gives the interior a much more modern feel, and having Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration makes navigation, music, calls, and everyday use significantly more convenient. The responsiveness is better than I expected. With some aftermarket head units, the biggest concern is laggy menus, slow startup times, or frustrating touch response, but this feels much closer to a modern factory system. I also really like that it keeps the vehicle looking clean. Instead of having a universal tablet-style screen awkwardly mounted somewhere, this feels like it belongs in the Jeep. The large display is a huge improvement while still blending with the dash. The included backup camera support and additional features are also a nice bonus. For the cost of some basic replacement radios, you are getting a lot more functionality here. Cons: Installation is probably the biggest thing to keep in mind. This is not the same as swapping a basic radio. Depending on your Jeep configuration, factory options, and camera setup, you may need additional adapters or some troubleshooting to get everything working exactly how you want. The instructions could also be clearer, which seems common with a lot of these aftermarket Android-style units. Bottom Line: Overall, this is a very impressive upgrade for the money. It modernizes the entire interior, adds the features people actually use every day, and gives you a much larger display without paying OEM prices.
