    • Easy to hold and use with the handle shape.

Be sure to oil them. I use Sunflower oil on both handles and blades then wrap in wax paper then I wrap in a plastic bag to keep moisture out. After I've scrubbed them and my hands in dawn dish soap and hot water my hands don't mind the Sunflower oil coating either. I put 5 stars on giftable even though my family has a bad omen thing about giving sharp objects as gifts. I didn't want to mess up the 5 star review. Giving gifts with sharp edges "Cuts the Ties That Binds" its Just a Thing in my Family, Doesn't Have to be a Thing in Yours. But it's Kinda My Family Thing to Warn You Not to Give Sharp Gifts. I really wanted to like these knives. I'm a huge fan of Damascus style knives and was willing to put the care into what these required. The style and price was what attracted me to these however after first use I had to return them (refund still pending). For custom knives the craftsmanship was ok, however, not practical for use in the kitchen. The balance was way off. Probably due to the thin handles. The edges (not the cutting edge) were sharp which could use a little smoothing. The Nakiri style knife was the most disappointed and what prompted my return. The cutting edge was not even (see photo). It was wavy, therefore, it did not lay flat on the cutting board. Making it impossible to chop. This was really disappointing. ... show more

Working in food I love a good knife, my brothers going to culinary school so as a graduation present I bought this knife set and they are absolutely gorgeous. The case is much better material than I expected as well. The handles are comfortable and the blades are extremely sharp. 110% worth it

Beautifully crafted. Very well balanced. If you want a great set of knives this is it. As for rusting, these are not the same type of steel knives you get in the store. You must provide more care. Don't throw them in the dishwasher. Hand wash then condition with mineral or veg oil. It really is bothersome to see people give bad reviews when they are the obvious reason a product had an issue ... show more

Good knives. Don't get me wrong. Blades weave a little as if they were manufactured unevenly (winky winky nod nod) . Easy fix though. Not a problem with 12 years of experience on sharpening and fixing blades. That's not what the 3 stars are for though. I paid for the "bone white" ones which are $150 but I got the red ones which are $140. I'm not terribly mad. Although, I can cut you guys some slack... No pun intended. If you can make me a deal. Not trying to dig up something special or big just would like to get what I paid for. Hope you guys read this and hope you guys understand. Thank you. ... show more

They are great to look at, but they rust VERY easily. Even when washed and throughly dried. The blades still rust. I must always put a little oil on them.
