Our tankless hot water heater coil burst in the basement. We've never had any pipes freeze, but the copper burst open. We occasionally have a problem with the wind blowing down the exhaust, during storms. I've gotten an error code for the pressure switch, which after which I would blow a drop of water out. I think the winter storm with a strong subzero wind, froze the pipe inside of the water heater, causing the copper to burst. Our old unit didn't have any kind of protection. I didn't think we needed it since it was an indoor unit. Our house pressure was 65psi, which shouldn't have been a problem. I'm a woman and disabled. I installed the Riwory ng tank by myself. Riwory had all the installation hardware needed to install the unit. Because I'm disabled, it took around 2 hours to get the old unit down and install the Riwory. It was a simple change out. I replaced the old ng line with a new one. I bought the Riwory because it has a butterfly valve in the unit, a one way value that allows exhaust out, but keeps outside air (and rain) from entering the unit. I bought the 4.3gph 102K btu unit. It has four 25w heat strips to keep the water warm, for a faster response, and to keep it from freezing. We have abnormally high city water pressure, so we have a pressure regulator with gauge on the house water as it enters the house. My husband, who used to do HVAC for a living (and installed water heaters) has a water pressure tester. I tested our pressure at 65psi. I was going to install a secondary regulator on the water in on the Riwory, but didn't need to; the Riwory has a low and a high pressure control in the unit. It's not just a relief valve. The pressure is actively controlled. These safety features are usually found on only namebrand, high price units. I was impressed with this unit. After installation, it kicked right on. I watched the water temp go from 53° (it was warmer out) to 120° in about 90 seconds. It's been 3 days since installed. There are no leaks and it's working as intended. I'll do an update down the road to let everyone know how it's performing.

Works great. Replaced an older unit that was 20 years old. I bought the larger 102000 unit. The exhaust had to be adapted to work with my existing 5" pipe. The unit has a 3 inch . You have to be careful with adapters . I had to use 2 adapters, one from amazon then another from napa. The unit delivers very hot water very quickly. No complaints. turns on right away. My old unit was powered off the flow of water so I had to turn it on full to get hot water. This work better.

Unit was installed by a professional contractor, upon visual inspection the water connections were not straight and felt loose. After installation, the unit only operated for 1 hour before it failed to power on. I have reached out to the service contact information and have not been able to help some customer service support. The other issue now is there is no return policy, ironic since they are able to ship it but not recieve it.

This is just what the doctor ordered. The heater coil in my boiler plugged up solid so I was able to tie this in to the water lines fairly easily and cap off the old heater coil. Has the power to make never ending hot water but if you are not used to on demand water heaters keep in mind it will take a minute or two to get to max temperature as you have to heat the heat exchanger and the incoming water from ice cold. Still a good way to go as you don't burn any fuel until you need it.

The great unit for the price works very well. I currently have it hooked up as a trial and error situation with a 20 lb cylinder and after a week I haven't seen the needle drop on my tank gauge so it appears to be very efficient as well.

I’ve been trying to find a unit with the best freeze protection. The problem with theses in cold climate is when the vent air feeds back into the unit. The electric heater can’t keep up when temps are single digests and below . This unit has double protection , an electric heat system to over freezing and a secondary vent plate that closes when not in use prevents the cold air from flowing . 5 stars

Easy to install because we had one before with a similar setup. Water pressure and temperature control are great. We have one full bath, kitchen sink, dishwasher and washing machine and can use all simultaneously.
