This book has a great information. I took the time to read it before a handed to my 11 years old. I'm not agree with the part where it talks about to decide your values by seeking lots of advice and then going with your gut. Because of my beliefs, Moral values are taught at home, you do not find them through the years as you are growing. You use these on your everyday life, so you can become a better human being. The rest of the chapters have a great information. This book is a great reinforcement for preteens and teenagers about different topics that every child should know and practice. I am very intrigued what mi son will share with me, during or after he finish reading the book. ... show more

I just lost my review & am too ill to rewrite it! So, in a nutshell, the book has some sound advice, but also feels somewhat New Age-y. As I am Christian, that takes away from it's reliability. The ability to be understood varies. Some parts a tween can easily understand, others even I had to re-read, so don't just hand over the book & expect the child to read & understand it on his own. I am unable to read this w/ my Grandson, so IDK how this will be dealt w/. Basically, I am undecided. I will have to re-read it when I'm well, then decide. ... show more
