the small side of the plug really seals the feeder tube very well--so much so it is difficult to remove once inserted into the tube. If you do need to reuse the small tubing, you may need to slit the tubing where the plug is inserted in order to remove it. The large end of the plug does a much better job than the plastic version of sealing the main line tube where the previous drip valve was inserted. ... show more

    • I wish I had gone with a single barb connector.

These probably work very well as a coupling, but I'm also using them to connect the 1/4 line to the 1/2 line. If I push them in all the way, they leak. If I only push them in to the first (larger) barb, they work well.
