This kit is not for the average Joe. It took quite a bit to find a bike that this motor would fit on. You need 17"+ vertical opening in the frame minimum to get this motor to fit. There is no way this motor will fit in a bike like the add shows in the picture they show of the mountain bike advertising. There are absolutely no installation instructions. Once you lay the parts out it's pretty to figure it out. The engine frame mounting blocks, at least the front one will take some machining to get it to fit properly on the pipe that goes from the pedal crank housing to the steering tube. The engine mount plate side adjustment holes need to be extended about 1/2" the way they are, the engine sits back to far and the valve cover will hit the bike frame vertical tube when the engine is under torque. There seems to be enough drive chain. You will need to remove some links though. First, make sure the engine has oil in it. The fuel tank valve isn't connected, so your going to need some pipe sealant. Use recreational gas without alcohol. The fuel filter that is supplied is garbage. I Tried inserting the filter into the fuel hose and the end broke right off. Leave the engine shutoff switch in the off position. The kill switch in on the throttle handle. You will need to install the replacement pedal crank shaft with the one supplied. The existing pedal crank will hit the muffler. Plus you will need a newer bike frame style. The one I used is an older style with a larger pedal crank bearing housing. I will need to machine a bushing and install in the larger housing to be able to use the replacement pedal crank shaft. After everything was installed and all checks were verified, it took just a few pulls and the engine started right up. I took the bike for a ride. It had adequate acceleration. I brought by phone and checked the speed. It clocked 35 to 37mph full speed. The engine was fairly quiet. This 100cc bicycle engine conversion kit really wowed me! Followed the instructions and installed it in no time. After the modification, the bike had a noticeable increase in speed and it ran pretty stable with no anomalies.
