I purchased one of these in late October. It puts out a good amount of light and the plants in the greenhouse thrived with the light running for about 11 hours per day. The light does get hot, but I have a small fan in the greenhouse so I pointed the fan to help cool the light. The light seems to work very well for plant growth. Since it seemed to work well, I bought a second light a couple of weeks ago. However, the first light failed in less than one month-the blue LEDs work, but no red and white LEDs. The surface-mount LEDs are mounted on an aluminum plate so it's very difficult to try to repair any bad solder joints. The wires running to the aluminum panel had bad solder joints but repairing them didn't fix it. The two driver boards both work fine, so the problem is with the LED board. UPDATE: The seller contacted me and offered a refund to resolve my issue. I did NOT expect that, as I knew I was violating my warranty by attempting to repair the unit. My preference was to obtain a replacement unit instead, which the seller shipped and arrived a day earlier than expected. The media could not be loaded. It seems to be helping this distressed plant! The light feels like a good quality build and puts out plenty of light. I've only had it for two days but so far I'm happy with it. It has two modes depending on what stage of life the plant is in, seedling vs mature plant. All of the hanging hardware necessary to easily adjust the height is included and simple to install. Although this model doesn't include cooling fans(s), it does have plenty of ventilation for the heat to dissipate. I thought about pointing a small fan at it but haven't done so yet. ... show more

I purchased the Tatu 1000w LED grow light to see how well a Light under $75 US would perform. I am just starting my grow now so I will need to come back and give an update. However, the light has exceeded my expectations so far. Very nice build quality. Very sturdy but not too heavy. It has a power receptacle to daisy chain another light into. A glass pane protects the LED’s. It has Veg and Bloom switches. The pictures show the blue and white with veg and the red for bloom or flower. You can see how bright white the light is in the pic as well. Surprisingly it puts out very little heat and the case does not get overly warm. It’s just right. I have a few outdoor plants and when the weather is bad I bring them in. I have placed them under this lamp in a 2x2 area and they seem to love it. I will be moving a new seedling under this light in the next few days and will update how the light does with it. So far, for a LED that has an actual 110 watt draw from the wall, for under $75, this is a great deal. The thermometer and pulley it came with was an added bonus and saved me even more money not having to purchase them. Are there better QB LED lights? Sure if you want to spend a house payment on them. Great quality, full spectrum LED, 110w actual, this Tatu LED has exceeded my expectations and I think it will for you as well. I almost forgot, they also have free returns if I’m not happy! Needless to say, I won’t be sending this one back. I may actually buy another when I have the free space. ... show more

Does the job at a great price. I would definitely check to make sure they work once you receive them. One that I received had a broken connection to the switch--but that was easily rectified with a little soldering.

I don't like how hot it gets, this thing needs fans badly! Every grow light I have gotten in this wattage range has had at least two fans to dissipate heat. I don't think this thing should be running without fans, and I am sure this is why most of these are dying after a few months of use.
