Happy with this purchase. Downsizing to a tiny house with 1 closet and needed an Armoire that would fit in a small area and provide the most storage. After a ton of research this unit checked the boxes and it looks really nice in the bedroom. I will confirm that it took us exactly 5 hours like the reviews said. It arrived super fast, which was great! The pieces look rich and beautiful too. I’ve invested about three hours so far and I’m still not done assembling. The instructions are clear enough but there are not written instructions so I’ve had to backtrack a few times. Specifically, nailing the back on and then realizing there is another piece to slide between it. So many of the screws won’t go all the way into the wood, even with my power drill and multiple attempts. Most of the sideways screws that hold the unit together are this way, so you can see a gap with the dowels. There are four screws poking out on the bottom of the unit that will scratch up my floor if I don’t find another way to fix it - maybe buying shorter screws? It just doesn’t feel very sturdy for how heavy it is. And it definitely isn’t looking like a $900 armoire yet - I’ve had better quality, less expensive furniture from Target. I agree with another reviewer that I wish I would’ve spent a little bit more and bought something from an actual furniture store. It’s just way too big and bulky to try returning at this point. ... show more

I Recently converted an upstairs space in my house to a 4th bedroom for my youngest son. I needed a closet for him and this seemed to be the best thing I could find when considering the trade offs between price and quality. I wanted real wood, but I did not want to spend 1000s of $$$$$$ either. This piece fit the bill perfectly!! I don’t think you will find anything else of this quality for this price. I can confirm this wardrobe is 100% real wood. There is not one single scrap of particle board or MDF. The finish is very nice, I ordered the mocha to match my sons other furniture and it matches great, the mocha looks in person just like in the pictures. Assembly wasn’t too difficult, I completed it by myself in 4-5 hours, I really took my time and used a screwdriver and hammer, no power tools because I did not want to strip or over tighten the screws. The pieces are held together by wooden dowels at first, then screwed together, you will not need any wood glue. Once assembled it is very sturdy, but you definitely need to secure it to a wall with the included hardware to prevent a tip over. All of my wood pieces and metal hardware lined up and fit perfectly, all the pre drilled holes lined up perfect, I did not have to cut or drill or modify anything. All of the wood pieces and hardware are labeled very well. The instructions aren’t the best, just pictures, so if you aren’t good at building things, you might struggle a bit, I had no problems. If you can’t build legos you probably can’t build this. Shipping was a little quicker than the original estimate. Came in 3 boxes via Fedex. Boxes were in excellent condition and everything inside was packaged well. I had one small dent/blemish on one piece of wood, but it is covered up behind a door, so no big deal. If you want something of better quality and already assembled, go to a furniture store and spend $1500 or more. If you want something less expensive go buy some particle board furniture and know it won’t last. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. You cannot beat the quality of it for the price. ... show more

Set aside enough time to assemble (3 - 4 hours) and you’ll be very happy with the result. Everything fits as it should. Follow the directions. Don’t attempt shortcuts and this wardrobe will be and look great.

Took hours to assemble, super well made unlike other ikea product made out of dust wood. Heavy & beautiful. My son helped me put it up & was a fun product. I definitely recommend. make sure it comes in 3 boxes which is a complete set.

    • Maybe I was expecting too much
I like the fact that it is all wood. It looks really nice. The instructions say that this can be put together by 2 people in 1.5 hours. I don't think that is ever going to happen. It took me about 8 hours + to assemble. I had help when I needed 4 hands to do something which wasn't very often. The first knob I tried to put on split and had to be glued back together. They should have been predrilled for screws. I predrilled the rest. I still have an issue with the way the drawers fit that I have not gone back to figure out yet and I am going to have to add glue to the bottom panel of one of the drawers to keep it in the grove. Some of the instructions could have been clearer and not every piece had part number tags on them but enough did to avoid total confusion. I would have been good to have added instructions for adjusting the door hinges. All off the instructions were pictorial with little or no words and no written instructions. Most of it was very clear though. There is no support number or address and no method of replacing missing, lost or broken parts except maybe contacting the seller through Amazon. The armoire came in three boxes and was very well packaged...no damage at all. It took some time to put together. I took my time doing so and would recommend not being in a hurry. It is entirely made of wood...stained pine. Real mahogany would have cost thousands of dollars, and particle board is heavy and tends to crumble when screwing metal into it. One big flaw: one of the shelves stuck out too much in the back and would have pushed the backboard out about a 1/4 of an inch. I had a table saw and so I could shave off the back end of that shelf. Considering all the pieces of wood, one flaw isn't too bad. The hardware is excellent quality. The instructions are all pictures, so you have to use your noodle to put the thing together. I would not recommend this product if you have never put anything together. Otherwise, go for it! ... show more
