...in that chair you just fixed with these. I picked up some chairs I saw on craigslist free stuff. They looked like they had a lot of potential, but I couldn't see from the photos how much work it would take to get there. When I got rid of the thick paint and primer that weren't original to the chairs, I saw that there was an attempt to fix one that had broken. It may have been the reason for the thick paint. There was no easy way to disassemble the chair, so I ended up sawing it apart. It had been held together with dowels and with screws. Would dowels have been enough? I mean, probably for normal use. But maybe the foreman asked the owner for a lot of clamps because you never can have enough clamps, and the owner was some corporate raider and was like, "Screw that!" and the foreman used screws instead of clamps. Then again, the leg did need to be repaired, and we'll never know what caused it. Probably space junk. I didn't have a dowel jig at the time. I didn't even know dowel jigs were a thing. I freehanded it based on where the old dowels were. If I had to do it from scratch, I'd get or make a dowel jig. My wife and I made new cushions from them from scratch. SOOOOOOOOO comfortable now. And sturdier because dowels.

I ordered like 4 other sizes before I got this one right but I am very happy with the results. Got my package quickly and they worked for what I needed. They are also very uniform in size which is immensely helpful. For some reason AMAZON initiated a refund for this product and I did not request a refund because there was nothing wrong with it.
