We have a large patio area 20 x 30 and heavily use that space in warmer months w cushioned seating, rugs, blankets for cool evenings, tools for plant container projects, etc. These containers are a great size. If you plan how you are going to stack and layer in things you will be amazed. The lid is hinged and supported and has a locking ring. It shuts tightly and even windy rainy days the stored materials stay dry. We bought three(3) and pushed them to the edge of the space in a row. They did not crowd our entertaining space and have been strong enough that we can place other items on lid without a problem. I’ve been recommending them to all my friends with outdoor entertaining space. It takes two people to snap them together but one person can use an electric drill to fasten rails and hinges. It was an excellent choice for keeping us looking tidy and organized

I got this because I have a cargo rack on the back of my camper, but I got tired of securing things to it with straps and then covering it up with a waterproof tarp. I got this deck box and securely mounted it to my rack, so now I have a trunk! So far it appears to be reasonably waterproof and as sturdy as you'd expect. I took a star off because the way they have of "locking" it is very flimsy, small, and completely plastic. This did not concern me because I installed two hasps with steel backplates so that I could secure it against a casual thief.

Great lil deck box perfect for all my grill accessories withstood the big snow and nothing got wet stores a good amount the lid keeps it all nice and dry although assembly was a bit difficult it's still a great box!!

For the price, this 80 gal box is ok. I bought this based on the 4 and 5 star reviews but noticed later on, that the reviews praising the sturdiness are for the smaller boxes. The 80 gal one is definitely not as sturdy as it could be, the individual pieces are very flimsy and bendable, which makes assembly difficult and realistically need either thicker material or reinforcement down the middle. Speaking of assembly. It took me way too long and watching several YT videos, to figure out that the BOTTOM piece needs to be assembled with the FINISHED part INSIDE. Once I figured that out, miraculously the pieces snapped together nicely and without fuss. Again. For anyone having problems snapping the small side pieces onto the bottom: the SMOOTH side with the D printed on, ends up on the INSIDE of the finished box. (Intuitively one wants to assemble it with the finished/smooth side on the outside, this is incorrect and will have you question your sanity for hours trying to snap the pieces together). Assembly instructions do NOT make this part clear whatsoever and need to be overhauled just for this oversight alone. Overall I don’t regret buying this when it was on sale but I would not buy full price for it. It’s just not sturdy enough.

These went together very well. We didn’t even had to take one apart for storage, and they still went back together nicely. They hold the pillows that I purchased to fit on top of the box, appeared to be waterproof, and the grandsons loved hiding in them
