I have these, a set of Fieldcrest sheets from Target, and some microfibers I purchased at a mattress store. The Fieldcrest sheets are 100% perfect! Microfibers feel good, but wear out quickly. The Chateau Home sheets are very nice, just not as nice as the Fieldcrest. Only time will tell on the durability. Not sure the thread count is a complete 500. They also shrink, and are not as easy to put on the mattress, as the Fieldcrest sheets. Overall, the price and convenience make them a good purchase.

Very soft and has a great color, although it has nothing in common with white, it's more beige-yellowish, but still looks great. 5 stars because I do not care about pure white here. The photo will give you an idea of the color in comparison with standard white sheet of paper.

There are lots of cheap sheets on Amazon claiming high thread counts with the "feel of cotton", when they are in fact cheap polyester. Microfiber means synthetic polyester not natural real cotton. These are 100% cotton and "breathe next to your skin" if you are a lady, or simply "soak up sweat" if you're a guy. I am a side sleeper and scratchy feeling pillow cases are a nuisance when falling asleep. These pillowcases and sheets are a dream before you even fall asleep! My only small complaint is the color. I ordered their "Walnut" colored, which looked brown in the picture, but the sheets are more of a dark taupe that doesn't look like brown to me. I would normally think of "Walnut" colored as a dark brown, but these are light brown with a "silver like" sheen. They look nice and more importantly to me, feel great. Other reviewers who said these sheets where scratchy, must have some sort of nerve disorder that makes them hypersensitive. Another possibility is that they have really hard water, so that when they washed the sheets, they didn't get risesed well of soap residue. I have hard water so I always add some baking soda to my first rinse, and I rinse my laundry twice to get rid of soap residue. On my second night sleeping on these sheets, I had been working in my yard without a shirt and was a bit sunburned on my back, neck, and shoulders. Even with my skin being over sensitive from the sun, these sheets still feel great.

The sheets feel good and breath a little. They stay cool. The brown is not a chocolate or coffee, but kind of a dead grass grey/brown. They still look good in my room. They feel good enough to be worth the $54
