I am getting the hang of how I need to use it. It does NOT do well with frozen slicing (chicken breast) unless I cut the breast in half and freeze it in a skinnier tube like shape, then it does fine. I use the slicer to slice up chicken, beef, beef heart (does fantastic with this no freezing necessary). Looking forward to using it more to make treats to dehydrate for my dogs. I was gifted a cheap $100 slicer for Christmas last year. Thoughtful gift but was dangerous and didn’t function very well. After a ton of research, I thought this model would be a great product without going full out on a commercial grade slicer. I have been very pleased! Cuts really thin for asian style dishes and can cut up to 12mm thickness for breads. It's is a bit difficult to clean if you are slicing alot of meats. But that is the only thing I didn't like. It's super quiet and sturdy. Definitely worth the investment.

The media could not be loaded. This slicer is a premium slicer. It slides smooth and is amazingly quiet. It cuts clean. I have used commercial slicers, and this is comparable. The finish is premium and wipes down quickly. The blade is harder to clean. The blade doesn’t come off with regular cleaning, so it needs to be wiped down. Follow the directions provided and you will be fine. The instructions are thorough and clear. The parts that come off are easily removed and washed in the sink. There is a built-in sharpener which I did not notice until using the slicer. The blade is on the opposite side from where the meat or cheese falls on the tray. The slices are from almost paper thin to about one-half inch. We have sliced meat and Swiss cheese. The Swiss sliced smoothly with no effort. I did slice some at the widest half inch setting. The slicer bogged down, so I let off and gently let the blade pull it through. The slicer needed to do the work, I guided it. I expected that because Swiss cheese is very dense and hard to slice at that thickness. Swiss is very firm cheese and dry compared to Cheddar. The meat slices come out perfect. I am amazed how much meat you end up with when it is sliced. We sliced most things at the wider setting of 2 or more. Anything less than the number 1 setting wants to pile up. If not removed, the blade can grab it and toss it behind the slicer. 2 or more it piles up nicely. The on and off switches are clearly marked and large enough to see and use with no confusion. My pc isn’t allowing me to upload a video or pics for this right now, but I wanted to share just how wonderful this meat slicer is. Every single moving part on it moves smoothly and almost effortlessly. The place where you put the meat (we tried a large ham) is solid and the arm part has prongs to hold the meat where you put it. It is super easy to change the thickness of your slices. We tried thin and thick. I prefer thin slices while my husband likes thicker so this lets us do both easily! I was pleasantly surprised that the blade sharpener is attached. We haven’t tried that yet as the blade is very, very sharp already. I do have to admit that it takes time to take everything apart to clean this when done using it, but it was simple enough. We just followed the included instructions. You cannot put anything in the dishwasher, but that’s not a big deal for us. I think that when we want to use this, we will plan ahead and cook several meats to slice and freeze as we don’t want to have to take it all apart every time we make one thing. If you plan to store it in the box that it came with (like we are doing), it is pretty big and you’ll need a good amount of space for that. If not, it came mostly assembled aside from a couple small guide pieces that screw on easily. For the price of lunchmeat at the deli, this is going to save us a lot of money in the long run AND we can have real meat that we cooked instead or the processed stuff we get at the store.
