Nicely packaged - can be used for single pole or 3-way - extra wire for 3 way connection is insulated - the other 2 power wires plus ground wire are ready for wiring. Includes the face plate, all screws and wire nuts. Mine are installed in a 3-gang configuration so the cover isn't needed. There is plenty of adjustment space to align the switch correctly with the other 2 switches. I used these to replace 20-year-old dimmers that worked flawlessly with incandescent bulbs but caused LED bulbs to flicker. The new switch works well with either type of bulb. The horizontal slider under the on/off switch works well. The only gripe I have is the same gripe I have with many new fixtures/switches: the internal wiring is not copper -- in other words, I have solid copper wires from the outlet box connected to stranded non-copper wires from the switch via wire nuts. I hope the connections will last as long and work as flawlessly as the all copper connections they replaced. ... show more

Easy to install and work well. Full range of dimmer slide doesn't work on the low end, but plenty of range for my needs.

    • small gauge stranded wires to twist together, not screw down connections, feels very cheap

rather than go with the standard screw down connection you would normally find in a light switch, these had loose wires coming out that you are meant to twist to your wires and wire nut. while wire nuts are fine, screw down is far better and wire nutting a very thin stranded wire to fullsize wires without messing up the stranded wire isnt exactly easy. you also cant do waco connectors easily because of the huge difference in wire size. the switch itself is a bulky plastic box that takes up too much space in the junction box, especially considering you are fitting wire nuts in there as well. it feels very cheap, which gives me bad feelings about the safety of this. the thin stranded wires seem like they are just begging to get overloaded due to a short and burn the house down, all without tripping the breaker because they are so much lower capacity than the wires the breaker is meant to handle. ... show more

I needed some dimmers and didn’t want to spend $30 for each one so bought these as an alternative. They work fine, the on/off click is kinda weak though. They are ok overall, I guess for $7 each they’re not bad.
