Prune here. Prune there. This saw does the trick, folds up til the next random branch catches your eye. (OK, maybe a bad metaphor for a super-sharp serrated blade.) But despite the low cost, it's nicely designed and sturdy in your hand. A great pick.

This saw cuts like butter. I was able to cut down many branches on a large tree with just one swipe. The thicker branches take a little more effort but still very easy to use. I would absolutely purchase again. I saved myself hundreds of dollars by trimming a large tree on my own.

    • Cheap and cuts well
I use this saw to cut young volunteer trees in a CRP wet land renewal project. The extra round holes snag on prairie grasses other small growth as you are cutting. I wish they were not there. The other small teeth cut very well and are better for my usage than a chain saw or bow saw. I intend to order another one. When you are fighting tall overhead growth just to walk, this small folding saw is the hot ticket. Don't forget Tordon or they will grow back far worse. meh, it is a large and sturdy saw, but weeds get caught in the teeth and in the round grooves on it. It is effective, but the value is aligned to the low price. Fine for occasional use, but not great.

    • A Nice Pruning Saw for Small Jobs
This is a pretty decent hand saw. It has a nice locking feature for keeping the blade inside the handle when not in use and is also used to release the blade from it's stowed position and it also locks the blade in place when in use. Even though the handle is plastic, it still feels good in your hand and feels sturdy. The blade is very sharp and cuts through wood fairly easily, but the steel is not that thick (I measured it with a caliper at .04 inches), so it bends side to side and it does bind up sometimes (despite what the description says). But for light use it'll get the job done. 4 Stars ... show more
