These make it easy to extend the output cables of a solar panel. Just snap together and you're done. I used these to connect a pair of panels (in parallel) to a longer cable or directly to a 3-1 or 2-1 coupling to make larger arrays of panels.

I'm sure they'd work fine, but they were noticeably thinner than a different brand that I had been using so I returned them. Both were 10ga, but this one was thinner. Most likely less insulation, which I didn't want to risk since the wire was going to be somewhat in the elements.
