  • Fire Fire Fire Hazard
Model: A
Too bad negative stars are unavailable in ratings because that's exactly what I would select. It looks and appears to be a great buy but be warned it's dangerous and a definite fire Hazzard. I used this only once and it had not been plugged in more than 5 minutes,I left the room to simply go shut off the television not more than one minute, had it been longer I don't know what the outcome would have been because during that short moment of my absence this product had began to literally melt and had turned completely glowing red,I admit I was terrified and at first wasn't sure if it was even safe to unplug but I did so anyway and upon doing so as soon as I pulled the cord from the socket the other end that had melted and turned red sparked and fell off into the bucket of water. What would have happened if I'd been one second longer in pulling the plug scares me and that is why I'm giving this review. Normally I never leave negative reviews but in this case it could save lives. Don't buy. Do not take the chance. ... show more

  • Great for bathroom sink, or dishes!
Model: A
This works great! We live in a mobile home from the 90's that had the grey pluming (Polyethylene) that leaked, it was all replaced with Pex-A 10 years ago before I bought the place. ALL the Pex-A pluming on the Hot water side now has pinholes leaks, but the cold side works fine. We use this immersion heater for the bathroom sink so we can have warm water for washing up and shaving, or maybe dishwater in a pan, for dishes. It takes 5 minutes or so, sometimes 10 if the water is icy cold. This is cheaper than a plumber and has made washing up so much nicer! Very happy! ... show more

  • Fantastic! Fantastic!
Model: A
Update: Still love the concept but product is not made of stainless steel as the listing states. Within 8 days this rod displayed rust/corrosion so I cleaned it up with water, no cleaning solution. I used it again after the cleaning and the results can be seen from my updated photos. Note: I never stored this heater while wet it was always dried after each use (product down voted from 5 stars to 3). The thermostat on my water heater recently went out. I needed hot water so I looked for any type of portable heating unit I could find. I found this and it works beautifully! Length wise it's about 9.5 inches and the widest coil measures about 1.5 inches (approximately 24 cm. x 4 cm.). ☺️ What used to take close to an hour (or a little more) of back and forth filling of a pot heated on a hot plate to warm a Dollar 25 store black bucket took less than 5 minutes to heat up with this GONDGN brand - mind you I needed 2 buckets worth at times. 😩 Now, paired with my rechargeable shower unit this is a very nice substitute to have until my main unit gets repaired. All in all a great experience. ✅ ... show more

  • THIS IS IT - BUY 2 IF YOUR APARTMENT/HOME HAS ELECTRIC SOCKETS TO SPARE! THIS IS IT - BUY 2 IF YOUR APARTMENT/HOME HAS ELECTRIC SOCKETS TO SPARE!
Model: A
REVIEW #2 (today): I FOUND OUT WHY MY UNIT WASN'T DRAWING MORE THAN 700 WATTS (leading to slower heating time). It was the copper lead wires not making contact with the Iron core contacts (inside the connection housing). CHECK with your warehouse which preparws this. Their quality control needs to make sure the unit can draw 1500WATTS! AND DEFINITELY GET THESE SOLDERED SO THEY CAN ACHIEVE 1500WATTS! MAYBE EVEN A POTENTIOMETER DIALER WHERE WE CAN DIM IT TO 1000W TO PROLONG ITS LIFE BUT DEFINITELY NO 700WATTS! (Both copper leads looked like the bottom one in the 2nd photo - untwisted & not contacting anything). REVIEW #1 (earlier this week): It takes half an hour to steam up 3gal in a home-depot 5gal homer bucket. This is NORMAL for 1500W power (a microwave would take just as much with multiple containers). You'll need your own metal hanger (off the top of a deep bucket). I used a fly swatter's metal handle since it's long & sturdy enough (as the unit is light weight). I wish we could immerse the entire unit (cable & all) so that I could heat up 5 gallons in 1 hour (to a desirable hot shower temperature)... but I think the 2 screws on the top end will probably eventually rust away. I'm going to duck tape it & give it a try in a few months - but 3gallons should be enough for now. (As that is the depth of the heater) without cold water remaining at the bottom. I already heated up 5 Gallons of cold water (18° C) to steaming hot (~38° C / 100° F) in 60 minutes (via mixing it - safely - unplug unit, mix/stir water, immerse unit in, plug in). Just don't fall asleep while you wait for this... set an alarm otherwise you'll end up with 3 gallons of scalding hot water at the top & cold water at the bottom (amazingly they will not mix due to the calmness of the water & width of the bucket - with bubbles on the heating element barely causing motion). I found it odd that (the Same) water has its own fluidity factors & tolerance causing it to Not mix as fast as the heater heats it up (since hot water rises & it tends to Not Care to mix with the cold temps below, forming a short mixing layer (you can visually see the hot & cold water mixing down to a 3 gallons' depth - not below that). ! So, manual stirring is needed and will also speed up the heating process down to 45 minutes if you stir it every 10 minutes (that should keep you awake while you brush your teeth & next to your truck's 2KW transformer). In the winter, faucet water is about 10° C / 50° F, so heating it with this is better done 3 gallons at a time (efficiency purposes) unless you like stirring... Do you like stirring? 🤣 ... show more
